Elden Ring reveals that Godfrey, the First Elden Lord, is much more than meets the eye. You’ve heard about him and a Tarnished champion named Hoarah Loux, the chieftain of the badlands, throughout the game. Godfrey is Hoarah Loux, or known by this name in the past.
As you get closer to the final bosses in Elden Ring, you begin to discover more about them. Hoarah Loux was a great human warlord who married the Goddess Marika and gave birth to the demi-gods you’ve been slaying all around Elden Ring. In your second encounter with Godfrey, he summons his inner warrior and transforms into Hoarah Loux once more.

In Elden Ring, Where Can You Discover Hoarah Loux?
The second encounter with Godfrey takes place near the Elden Throne in the arena where you faced Morgott the Omen King, so it a short walk from where you last fought Godfrey, although this time he’s not bathed in golden light and will converse with you.
Before you can fight Godfrey / Hoarah Loux again, you’ll have to go through one of your longest allies.
Battle Of Gideon Ofnir
You’ll need to return to the Elden Throne before you may challenge Godfrey for the second time. Gideon Ofnir will be waiting for you when you arrive at the temple where you first fought Godfrey.
When you beat Maleketh, ‘The All-Knowing’ one vanished from the Round Table Hold and now appears to have changed his mind about your goal. Something seems to have gotten the better of your former tutor.
Before you can return to the Elden Throne area, you must vanquish your fellow Tarnished champion. While Ofnir wields some strong spells, he is very weak, and most players should be able to defeat him with ease.
Simply buff yourself against magical attacks, avoid his well-timed spells, and counter-attack until he falls. The real test is still to come.
How To Beat Godfrey’s Hoarah Loux
Godfrey’s battle with him will similar to the previous, except this time he’ll backed up by his spirit lion Serosh. Serosh attached to Godfrey’s back and serves as a powerful buff after the boss performs his war-cry.

Use the same tactics as the first encounter and let him swing his combinations before counter-attacking when he’s weak. His jumping assaults are predictable and easy to escape. Move in for the attack as soon as he lands.
A cutscene will play once you’ve gotten him to half-health. Serosh will be dismissed by Godfrey, who will discard his armour and weapons. He’ll then fight you as a human warlord, rather than a golden deity, with his bare hands.
Warrior, How Do You Beat Hoarah Loux?
In terms of ferocity and speed, Hoarah Loux is a whole different animal than Godfrey. The good news is that he’ll still only have half a health bar and won’t renew it as other second-stage bosses do.
Now is the time to summon your Spirit Ash if you didn’t do so on the first stage. After the cutscene, spirits that have already summoned should continue to fight.
The majority of Hoarah Loux’s strikes large stomps and lunges that deal significant AOE damage yet are easily avoided. He also leaves himself vulnerable for several frames after each, allowing you to hit him a few times before he recovers.
But don’t get greedy, or he’ll exploit you and put you on the defensive. Rather, keep moving and surrounding him until you have a chance to strike. Magic and ranged users should follow this tactic as well, but wary of being caught by him.
