Blaidd is one of our favourite characters in Elden Ring, and his questline is heartbreaking, which is why we admire him while also feeling terrible for him. You meet this wolf early in the game, in the Mistwood area, but it’s not easy, and you’ll need a few suggestions to finish it.

How to complete Blaidd’s questline in Elden Ring?
- The sound of a wolf howling will greet you as you approach Mistwood. Then go back to Merchant Kale for additional information about the wolf howling.
- When you hear the howling in Mistwood, you’ll obtain the Finger Snap gesture you’ll need to call Blaidd.
- After then, Blaidd will tell you about Darriwil. Darriwil can be found and defeated in Forlorn Hound Evergoal, which is located in the south of Limgrave, just before entering the Weeping Peninsula.
- As a summon, Blaidd will be at Forlorn Hound Evergoal. You can then converse with him until his dialogue is exhausted. You must speak with a blacksmith, as he will discuss it.
- The blacksmith’s name is Iji, and he’s a giant who can be found in the northwestern area of Liurnia of the Lakes, near the Kingsrealm Ruins and just past Northern Liurnia Lake Shore.
- Talk to Iji and tell him that Blaidd sent you to his shop to unlock Carian Filigreed Crest.
Blaidd’s role in Ranni’s Questline
- You must meet Blaidd at Siofra River, the underground area, after meeting Ranni early in the game and afterwards starting her quest in Liurnia. Blaidd will be waiting along the Siofra River Bank grace on the edge of the cliff (just head straight and follow the cliff).
- Blaidd will direct you to Seluvis, who will direct you to Sellen.
- Return to Blaidd in Siofra River after speaking with Sorceress Sellen. He’ll tell you to meet him in Caelid at Redmane Castle.
- Blaidd can be found inside the castle if you go there. To begin the festival, speak with him first, then Jerren.
- Radahn, the Starscourge, must be defeated. One of the summons for this battle will be Blaidd.
- A star will fall in Mistwood after you defeat Radahn, and Blaidd will inform you to meet him there.
- He’ll be stuck at Forlorn Hound Evergoal. If you let him go, he’ll say he’s going to see Ranni.
- You can then move to the next phase in Ranni’s questline.
- You can return to Ranni’s Rise once you’ve received the Dark Moon Greatsword, where you’ll encounter Blaidd, who will fight you.
- To obtain his Greatsword and armour set, defeat him.
