Diablo Immortal Microtransactions Earns $24 Million. Microtransactions in Diablo Immortal have raked in $24 million in only two weeks, as Blizzard’s latest RPG sparks debate over its runes, crests, and loot boxes.
In the first two weeks of Diablo Immortal’s release, microtransactions produced $24 million USD in income, with gamers in the United States and South Korea spending the most on in-game purchases for the RPG game.

Diablo Immortal Microtransactions Earns $24 Million
According to data from industry tracking website AppMagic. Blizzard’s latest RPG has downloaded more than five million times since its June 2 launch. Fast becoming the developer’s second-highest mobile earner, trailing only the all-powerful Hearthstone, which debuted in 2014.
The majority of Immortal’s downloads come from players in the United States and South Korea, and these two countries have also been the highest microtransaction spenders – the United States is first, accounting for around 43 percent of Immortal’s earnings thus far, with South Korea coming in second, accounting for around 23 percent of the game’s total yield.
However, the usage of microtransactions in Diablo Immortal’s levelling has criticised. With some players claiming that they are at a significant disadvantage if they do not purchase in-game stuff. This dissatisfaction mirrored in the game’s Metacritic user score. Which now stands at 0.3 for the PC edition of Diablo Immortal — an all-time low for any PC game ever.
