Elden Ring improves on the Dark Souls series’ history by incorporating open-world adventure into the genre’s signature mix of dangerous foes and painful fatalities. Elden Ring’s equivalent of the legendary Estus Flask is the Flask of Crimson Tears, and FromSoftware’s Soulslike titles typically share similar features.
Flasks of Crimson Tears are carried by players and replenish when they die or rest at a Site of Grace. Fortunately, using Golden Seeds at a Site of Grace can increase the number of these Flasks that can be carried. These Seeds are exceedingly rare, and players will only require 30 throughout the game to fully improve their Flask capacity.

In Elden Ring’s Limgrave section, there are six Golden Seeds to be found:
- After slaying the Ulcerated Tree Spirit at the Fringefolk Hero’s Grave.
- On the road to the Stormhill Shack in Stormhill, after passing through the Stormgate.
- If players skip Stormveil Castle and go to Roundtable Hold, they can find Roderika in Stormhill Shack in the area where she was seated, or they can give her the Chrysalid’s Memento.

- Shortly after riding the elevator from the lower level and unlocking the Manor Upper-Level Site of Grace, on the upper level of Caria Manor.

In Caelid’s Scarlet Rot-infested territory, there are four Golden Seeds:
- Just southwest of the southern Caelid Map Fragment, on the way to Redmane Castle.
- On an overlook to the north of Sellia Town of Sorcery, in Sellia Town of Sorcery.
- Obtainable after beating the Putrid Tree Spirit boss in the War-Dead Catacombs.
- Close to the road to the southeast of the Bestial Sanctum.
Regions Below Ground Locations Of Golden Seeds
The underground sections of Elden Ring’s Siofra River, Nokstella, Mohgwyn Palace, and Lake of Rot contain four Golden Seeds:
- On a rock overlooking the woodlands to the south-west of the Below the Well Site of Grace, on the Siofra River.
- After taking a southern road down from the Moon of Nokstella temple and riding an elevator to ground level, in the northwest of Nokstella, Eternal City.
- An Ulcerated Tree Spirit guards the southern cistern of the Lake of Rot.
- On a rock in the middle of the lakes at the Mohgwyn Palace lake of Rot. Players who obtain this Mohgwyn Golden Seed before returning to the location will be unable to obtain the one in the Dynasty Mausoleum Midpoint.
- Players who pick up this Mohgwyn Golden Seed on a body at the Dynasty Mausoleum Midpoint Site of Grace and subsequently reload the area will not be able to pick up the one in the Rot lakes.

In the Altus Plateau, there are four Golden Seeds to found:
- Just north of the Erdtree-Gazing Hill Site of Grace on the Plateau’s western edge.
- Grace is located on the route to the north of the Altus Highway Junction.

- On the Plateau’s northeast side, directly southwest of the Highway Lookout Tower.

In the volcanic region of Mt Gelmir, there are just two Golden Seeds:
- Just after passing the chasm from Seethewater River, at the southern entrance to the Mt Gelmir region, under an Erdtree sapling.
- To the northwest of Mt Gelmir, near the Road of Iniquity, is the Site of Grace.
Locations Of The Royal Capital Golden Seed In Leyndell
In Leyndell and the Capital Outskirts, there are seven Golden Seeds to found:
- There are two Golden Seeds under the neighbouring Erdtree seedling at the Outer Wall Phantom Tree Site of Grace.
- The Phantom Tree Site of Grace is located just south of the Outer Wall and can obtained by defeating the Ulcerated Tree Spirit.
- Two more Golden Seeds under a larger Erdtree sapling similar to the one at the Outer Wall Site of Grace in the Leyndell Outskirts.
- Obtainable by battling the Ulcerated Tree Spirit in an open area to the northwest of the Avenue Balcony Site of Grace.
- A Gargoyle guards a balcony southwest of the West Capital Rampart Site of Grace.
Golden Seed Locations On Giant Mountaintops
In Elden Ring’s Mountaintops of the Giants section, there are six Golden Seeds to found:
- On the southern side of the Forbidden Lands road, near the Black Blade Kindred boss fight.
- In the Consecrated Snowfield snowfall, exactly to the northeast of the Consecrated Snowfield Site of Grace, beside a larger pillar.
- Down a short cliff to the west of the Ordina Liturgical Town Site of Grace, in the Consecrated Snowfield.
- On Flame Peak, near the Foot of the Forge Site of Grace, in the raised area to the northeast.
- The Freezing Lake Site of Grace is located in a dead-end site trail extending south from the frozen river.
- Obtainable by battling the Ulcerated Tree Spirit in the Giant’s Mountaintop Catacombs.
Golden Seed Locations For Elphael, Brace Of The Haligtree
In the Haligtree, just one Golden Seed is available:
- The second pool of rot discovered inside the tree itself. Accessed by fighting an Ulcerated Tree Spirit in the Haligtree Roots or the Drainage Channel Site of Grace.
Locations Of Crumbling Farum Azula Golden Seed
In the end-game Legacy Dungeon, Crumbling Farum Azula, there two Golden Seeds to found:
- Players can only access this region behind several pillars to the south of the fountain plaza once they have reached the Dragon Temple and ascended the neighbouring elevator.
- Turn left after passing the bridge defended by the lightning-summoning dragon to find it among another pair of pillars on the north-east side of Crumbling Farum Azula.
