But first, let’s look at the Moth locations in Destiny 2 and how to uncover all of the hidden Lucent Moths in Savathûn’s Throne World.

Destiny 2 Moth Locations

Here are all the Destiny 2 Moth locations available so far:

  • 1Moth location – The Quagmire
  • 2Moth location – The Apothecary
  • 3Moth location – The Alluring Curtain
  • 4Moth location – The Temple of Cunning
  • 5Moth location – The Temple of the Wrathful
  • 6Moth location – Miasma

Two new moth locations will be added to the Throne World every week. Each week, YouTuber ‘Esoterickk’ has been documenting the Lucent moths with helpful video guides, which you can see below.

Destiny 2 Moth locations – The Quagmire

This Lucent Moth location is one of the easiest to locate and is an excellent place to begin – however you can gather them in any order.

You’ll need to go to the Extraction Lost Sector in The Quagmire. Rather than going inside, turn right and search for a small cave and a blocked wall inside a tunnel. Killing a group of Hive will drop a green barrier around the Lucent Moth, which you can take up once the room has been cleared.

Destiny 2 Moth locations – The Apothecary

The next Lucent Moth can be found in the Alluring Curtain’s Apothecary. You won’t need to enter the palace, and if you’ve completed The Last Chance, you can take the same path you did in this quest.

When you arrive at The Apothecary, proceed to the balcony level and begin searching for a Deepsight node on a walkway. Trigger it when you locate it to reveal five Hive runes. If you shoot all five Lucent Moths within the 30-second time restriction, the next Lucent Moth will appear on the nearby turret.

Destiny 2 Moth locations – The Alluring Curtain

Another Lucent Moth site can be found elsewhere in The Alluring Curtain. This is also on the right side of the palace if approaching from The Quagmire, so you should be able to find it easily while returning from The Apothecary.

You’ll need to look for a fountain inside a square courtyard to find this Lucent Moth. Ir Olena, Moth Keeper, is a Hive Wizard who may be found here. She’s keeping a Lucent Moth from you, as you might expect. To get it as loot, you’ll have to kill her.

Destiny 2 Moth locations – The Temple of Cunning

The Temple of Cunning, deep within the Throne World, is where the next Lucent Moth can be found. When you arrive at the Temple, look for a large room in the centre with a huge circular platform.

The Lucent Moth you’re seeking for will be on one of the three neighbouring pillars when you arrive. It should be easy to spot, and all you have to do to get it is jump off the circular platform.

Destiny 2 Moth locations – The Temple of the Wrathful

If you’re looking for this Lucent Moth, you’ll have to fight your way through the Temple of the Wrathful. This item, on the other hand, will not be found inside the Temple. You must keep an eye out for an orange portal.

This portal will be difficult to miss, but you’ll have to fight some Scorn to get to it. When you’re done, you’ll have to fight another troop of Scorn to take down the Lucent Moth’s orange shield.

Destiny 2 Moth locations – Miasma

The Lucent Moth, which is hidden in Miasma, isn’t as easy to find as the others, but it doesn’t need killing anything to obtain. This one is actually concealed in the swampy area you’ll be investigating at the top of a tree.

To get your hands on this item, head to Miasma’s northern regions and look for a sunken tower. You should be able to climb to the top of the tree you’re looking for utilising a nearby rocky outcropping.
