Frostclaw Locations In Horizon Forbidden West. There are a lot of dangerous machines that can taken down and used for parts in Horizon Forbidden West. One of them is the Frostclaw, which is one of the most dangerous. There a new DLC for Horizon Zero Dawn called Frozen Wilds that adds this bear-like creature to the game. It has a lot of important parts that can used to make Aloy’s high-level gear even better. This guide will point players in the right direction to help them find and kill them. Frostclaws should only taken on by players who are level 24 or higher, and their more dangerous. Apex variants (marked by their purple glow) should only taken on by players who level 38 or higher.

How to Reach Them
If you live in Horizon Forbidden West’s California, Frostclaws are likely to found in the colder parts of it, in the more mountainous parts. Level 17 main quest “The Eye of the Earth” must completed before the player can reach these. This opens a path through the mountains to the west of the map.
To get three main quests for them to do, they must first finish the first one. They can do them in any order. To play “The Broken Sky,” you have to go farther west into Tenakth territory, to the capital city called “The Memorial Grove.” This is the least difficult one. To get to the Sky Clan settlement Stone Crest and their stronghold, “The Bulwark,” Aloy will need to follow leads there. She may come across her first Frostclaws there.
Where to Find Them
Sheerside Climb is the first town the player is likely to come across on their way to Stone Crest. West-northwest of Scalding Spear (orange) and north-northwest of The Memorial Grove are the two places where these are (in green). The Bulwark is to the northwest of this town (in purple).
You can see on the map that there are two Frostclaw sites. Both of them in this area (circled in red). One is north of the Bulwark, and the other is to the southwest, atop some mountains that can reached later in Horizon Forbidden West.
The Frostclaws are being hunted by people
The Frostclaw to the north of The Bulwark usually surrounded by two, and sometimes three, Clawstriders. The Frostclaw to the south usually surrounded by a herd of Fanghorns, so plan ahead. As always, there is a chance that two Frostclaws will show up in the same place, but this doesn’t happen very often.
For Apex Frostclaw Hearts, you should hunt at night because they are more likely to show up. Another thing to keep in mind if Aloy needs the Frostclaw Sac Webbing for an upgrade is not to use explosives or damage the central Chillwater Unit on their chests that hold it. Even though they have Sacs on their shoulders, you can still shoot at them and hit them.
