Claw Viper Temple Location In Diablo 2: Resurrected. The Viper Temple is one of three places in Diablo 2: Resurrected where players must collect components in order to build The Horadric Staff. Unfortunately, the ARPG has a habit of assigning quests to users with very little information in their Quest Log.
In Diablo 2: Resurrected, the Horadric Staff and Tainted Sun quests both direct players to the Claw Viper Temple, although neither tells them how to get there. This guide will walk players through the exact path they must take, as well as what to do with the amulet after they locate it.
Hodey Johns updated this page on December 23rd, 2021: Diablo 2: Resurrected’s allure comes from its randomly generated settings and lack of map markers. It encourages players to go where their hearts lead them, rather than where they think they have to go. This sense of unhurried discovery will appeal to certain players. Others, on the other hand, will simply be attempting to beat the game, which such a premise will make nearly difficult. Some want to go exploring, but they need to finish the narrative first. This guide has been updated to include recommendations for these players, regardless of how far into the act they are or how many waypoints they have unlocked.
Table of Contents
From The Beginning
If players have not yet found the Lost City, they can pursue this path to find The Claw Viper Temple in Diablo 2:
- Rocky Waste > Dry Hills > Far Oasis > Lost City > Valley of Snakes > Claw Viper Temple
Act 2’s Rocky Waste is a huge area outside of town. Players must find waypoints in Dry Hills, Far Oasis, and Lost City before going on to the next destination. Waypoints make it as easy as possible to return to an area after a death, or to return to locate the finest farming places in Diablo 2 Resurrected.

From The Lost City
The exact location of the Claw Viper Temple in Diablo 2 cannot anticipated because the maps are dynamically generated. It will, however, always be in the Valley of Snakes region. Which can accessed by following the same path each time you play.
If the Lost City waypoint has been unlocked. Players can journey there from town and then seek for the Valley of Snakes’ randomly generated path. Once you’ve arrived in the valley. Look for the Claw Viper Temple, which is guarded by sculptures of snake-like beasts. All of this hunting might be tedious, which is why a better map is one of the most important improvements Diablo 2: Resurrected requires.
Finishing The Quest
After finding the Claw Viper Temple, players must demolish the Serpent Altar and seek out the Horadric Amulet. The amulet will dropped for all players in the group if the altar destroyed. Fangskin guards the altar, which is located on Level 2 of the Claw Viper Temple.
Kill the opponent, destroy the altar, take the amulet, and then return to town to put the Horadric Staff together. Alternatively, keep the amulet in the Stash until the staff found. Place the amulet and shaft in the Horadric Cube and press transmute once all three components have found. This is only one of the several Horadric Cube recipes to keep in mind. In Diablo 2: Resurrected, players can now take it to Tal Rasha’s Tomb to complete Act 2.
