Destiny 2: The Pigeon Provides Quest Guide (The Dawning 2021).The 2021 Dawning event in Destiny 2 introduces two entirely new tasks. Each one is dedicated to wishing our new allies, the Cabal and the Fallen, a happy holiday season.
The latter is being dealt with by The Pigeon Provides. We’ll be running about Europa, battling off hordes of Vex monsters, and plunging into the perilous depths of Lost Sectors to… bake some pastries.
In all seriousness, The Pigeon Provides and its sister adventure Rite of Dawning are both a lot of fun and well worth your time.
However, they aren’t worth a lot of time, which is why I’ve put together a Destiny 2 The Pigeon Provides mission guide. So, relax, make some hot cocoa, and have some fun.

How to Complete The Pigeon Provides in Destiny 2
Complete “The Lost Splicer”
You must first complete “The Lost Splicer” before beginning this quest. Season 14 – Season of the Splicer’s first task was this one. If you don’t have the Season Pass, don’t worry; you should still be able to finish The Pigeon Provides.
If you’ve already accomplished that quest, you’ll be prompted to speak with Saint-14 and will be transferred to step 2.
Speak with Saint-14
Visit Saint-14 for a joyous discussion. He’ll say he’s sorry and wishes to include the Eliksni in the Tower’s Dawning tradition. It’s all extremely healthy.
After that, he’ll send you to Europa to find an Eliksni recipe and assign you the task of gathering the necessary ingredients.
Track Down the Eliksni Recipe
The Eliksni Recipe may be found in the Eventide Ruins on Europa, near the fast-travel point.
When you spawn in, keep track of the task in your director and follow the on-screen signal. When you locate the recipe, hold down your interact button and The Pigeon Provides will complete this step for you.

Track Down the Ingredients for Swaddled Etherdips
The meat of The Pigeon Provides quest may be found here. You’ll need the following items for this step:
- 3 Pure Ether Extract
- 10 Harpy Eggs
- 5 Glacial Starwort.
The chests at the end of Lost Sectors contain Pure Ether Extract. This shouldn’t take long if they’re just ordinary Sectors.
It’s worth noting that my Lost Sectors weren’t resetting when I was farming for these, so I had to load back into the area to repeat them. Keep in mind that you may have the same issue.
Vex Harpies are the source of the 10 Harpy Eggs. Because the drop percentage for these appears to be about 50%, you’ll need to kill around 20 Harpies to collect all ten eggs. There are lots of Harpies in Asterion Abyss, so this should only take a few minutes as well.
Glacial Starwort, like the other two components, may be found on Europa. If you’re not sure how to accomplish it, I have a guide here that will show you how.
Collect Enough Dawning Spirit to Purchase Kelldough from the Spider
This was by far the most time-consuming of the quest steps. At the outset of the Dawning, you earn Dawning Spirit slowly and carefully. I got all 15 Vanguard strikes in about four Vanguard strikes, and I already had a few before I started.
If you don’t want to waste hours on this, I can’t emphasise enough how crucial it is to get last year’s Dawning ship and upgrade package.
Both may be purchased for 200 Legendary Shards and a handful of Glimmer from Eva Levante. When you equip the ship, you get a perk that gives you a chance to get Dawning Spirit every now and then when you get an Oven Ingredient. Don’t undervalue the significance of this. It’s the difference between getting one Dawning Spirit per strike against four or five per strike.
Once you’ve collected all 15, speak with Spider on the Tangled Shore to purchase the Kellsdough.
Track Down More Ingredients for Swaddled Etherdips
This isn’t quite as horrible as it appears. You simply need to collect five Etheric Spiral clusters from the tangled shore. You’ll be done with this stage in minutes if you follow the instructions in my Glacial Starwort guide.
Speak with Saint-14
That is, for the most part, all there is to it. You only have a little more busybodying to do once you’ve finished gathering your supplies.
Return to the Tower and find Saint-14. The Eliksni sweets will be baked by the two of you together. Here you’ll find a hilarious bit of writing, so make sure you read it. Otherwise.
Hand Out the Swaddled Etherdips in the Eliksni Quarter
You must travel to the Eliksni Quarter in the H.E.L.M. after you’ve done with Saint.
Interact with 10 distinct Fallen NPCs throughout the Quarter. Don’t be choosy; any ten will suffice. You’re basically playing the role of a Fallen Santa Claus, handing out all of the goodies you’ve spent the last hour creating.
Speak with Saint-14
Yes, it’s time to return to Saint-14. I’m hoping you’re still feeling chatty because he’ll direct you to Eva Levante.
Speak with Eva Levante
The last person you’ll have to speak with is Eva. Simply interact with this location to receive your reward, which is a brand new Stasis sword. You’ll also find some very wholesome literature here, so please read it for the love of everything.
In all honesty, the quest as a whole is quite nicely written. It’s full of warm and happy festivities, so try to appreciate it instead of stomping and smashing your way through it. I understand your desire for the Zephyr sword, but if you speedrun it, you’ll be losing out.
