In this guide, I will discuss the three settings I programmed for the Elite Series 2 controller, which I switch between when playing Halo Infinite multiplayer games. The best Halo Infinite controller settings
Basic
First, the default settings. You can try some pre-programmed variants, but for now, let’s take a look at the basics first. Many of you may have played this loading or similar in past Halo games or other FPS games, so you will be familiar with its structure. The Xbox control scheme always seems to be slightly different from what you see on PlayStation, so if Xbox Series S/X is your first choice
This goes out to all the bungee fans out there. The custom controller scheme I like for all FPS games has been removed directly from Destiny 2. Always use the cold shoulder setup, regardless of which console you are playing on. It’s an easy and comfortable setup to get used to for a woman with a fairly petite hand, and it makes the most sense to me.
Altitude
If you take PVP matches very seriously and own an Elite Series 2 controller, we recommend that you try this kind of custom layout. On the back of Elite Series 2, there is a set of triggers that allow for additional mapping. If you have a hand like me that struggles to withstand the weight of the Elite Series 2 during a long session, you can map aiming, shooting, proximity, etc. to the back trigger to make it more comfortable.
In this setting, Y, X, A, B control random things such as volume. These are related to the Xbox Series X itself, not Halo Infinite.
Elite Series 2 allows you to program multiple controller layouts at once, so it’s worth the time if you want to share it with someone or rotate different settings for each game.
The only downside is that you can only save one custom control setting to Halo Infinite at a time. So the controller keeps various settings, but you’ll want to spend some time creating the final custom setup. There are many other settings that you can fine-tune, such as hold or toggle to crouch, and axial dead zones. For the real Sas people out there, you can even reverse the look.
