How To Get The Mechanical Dwarven Horse In Skyrim. The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Anniversary Edition has arrived, commemorating Bethesda’s legendary fantasy RPG’s tenth anniversary. Skyrim’s most recent edition not only includes all of the Special Edition’s features, but also a massive amount of community-created content from the Creation Club system.
Forgotten Seasons is one of the larger Creation Club Packs included in Skyrim Anniversary Edition, and it includes a massive new dungeon called Runoff Caverns. While exploring Runoff Caverns, players will discover new items, books, powers, and enemies, as well as the opportunity to restore a Vamidium, a robotic dwarven horse.
Skyrim’s Dwarven Horse Quest begins
The Dwarven Horse quest, unlike many of the Creation Club quests in Skyrim Anniversary Edition, will not automatically enter players’ journals. Players must first locate the Runoff Caverns in the Reach, roughly halfway between Markarth and Falkreath. The Vamidium’s remains can found on the ground just outside the dungeon, and activating it will start the quest.
To rebuild the horse, players must locate its four missing legs and head, which can all found in Runoff Caverns. The dungeon has four sections, each representing a different season. The Autumn’s Bells section contains all five pieces of the Dwarven Horse, which can identified.

The Dwarven Horse’s five parts scattered throughout the Autumn’s Bells section of the new Skyrim dungeon:
- Right Front Leg:Â Found almost immediately after arriving in Autumn’s Bells, next to the body of the dead mercenary in the entrance hall.
- Left Back Leg:Â Found in the main room of Autumn’s Bells, near the field of Glowing Red Wheat. Specifically, it’s tucked behind a chest on the east side of the collapsed tower.
- Right Back Leg:Â Also found in the main room, and reached by crossing the bridge in the center. It can looted from under the collapsed building to the south of the Sickly Green Wheat.
- Left Front Leg:Â The final piece in the main room can found against the south wall, placed on a pedestal.
- Head:Â To collect the head players will need to complete the Autumn’s Bells puzzle, harvesting six different kinds of wheat and depositing them into the containers. This will unlock the treasure room, where the head can found on a pile of gold.
Once all five pieces collected, players can return to the surface and reactivate the Vamidium’s broken torso. This will result in a working mechanical horse, one of Skyrim’s most intriguing mounts.
