How To Get Fencing In Animal Crossing New Horizons.Just when you thought you had mastered the fences in Animal Crossing: New Horizons… Just when you thought your island was complete, the Animal Crossing: New Horizons update 2.0 arrives, bringing not only nine new fence types but also fencing customization options. It’s time to put in another 800 hours or so to bring your island up to version 2.0 as well.
The nine new fence types in Animal Crossing: New Leaf: New Horizons will be available in the Nook Miles section of the Residential Services machine on a rotating basis. There are usually two different recipes available at any given time, so the nine different options will rotate based on the day and season. You’ll also be able to find recipes in the real world as usual.
Let’s go over how to customise Animal Crossing: New Horizons fencing, a list of the new fences available, and a guide for how to unlock Animal Crossing: New Horizons fencing entirely if you’re new to the game.

How to customise Animal Crossing: New Horizons fencing
To customise your fences, go to the Nook Miles section of the Residential Services machine and purchase ‘Custom Fencing in a Flash.’ This costs 2500 Nook Miles and allows you to take your fencing to a crafting bench and use a Customisation Kit to change the colour to match the rest of your island. The number of different colour options depends on the fence, but it will cost one Customisation Kit for every ten pieces of fencing. When you purchase this kit, you will also receive two new fencing types to get you started. Large Lattice Fencing and Park Fencing will appear in the ‘Other’ section of your crafting menu, allowing you to change things up right away.

1. Invite at least one new villager to move to your island
As soon as it becomes available in the game, you should begin saving your Nook Miles to spend on Nook Miles Tickets. Once you’ve paid off your initial moving costs to Tom Nook, you’ll be able to purchase these through the Nook Stop terminal in Residents’ Services. They cost 2,000 Miles per ticket but allow you to visit another desert island created at random.
These alternate islands a haven for gathering crafting resources, fruit that does not grow natively on your island, and possibly a travelling villager who may invited to live on your island. If you see someone who you think would a good fit for island life, just talk to them a few times and they’ll ask if they can move to your island. They’ll contact Tom Nook about organising things, and that’ll be the last you hear for a while.
2. Wait for Tom Nook to offer you a bridge construction kit
I’ll make a note here that this stage became available to me after I invited three new villagers to live on my island. I invited all three of these newcomers on the same calendar day, and then Tom Nook proposed this next goal the next day. It’s unclear whether you need to invite three or just one new resident for this to happen.
Tom Nook, on the other hand, will eventually give you the go-ahead for them to begin moving to your island, and it will begin with him offering you a recipe for a bridge construction kit. You’ll need four log stakes, four clay, and four stone to build it, but once you’ve finished the kit, you can just place it anywhere on your island where you think it’ll look good.
3. Prepare the plots for your new villagers
Tom Nook has kindly informed each of your new residents that fully furnished homes will be waiting for them when they arrive on the island. Isn’t that helpful? That means you’ll need to furnish each plot with six pieces of furniture, three of which must be interior and three of which must be exterior. Tom Nook will supply you with the various recipes you’ll require, but first you’ll need to find suitable locations for each of the new homes.
After that, Nook will give you the recipe for the Animal Crossing: New Horizons ladder, a useful tool for reaching the higher-level areas of your island and reaping the benefits it has to offer. Then it’s just a matter of going through the list of furniture that you’ll need.
4. Visit Tom Nook in Residents’ Services
After you’ve completed all of this, go back to Tom Nook at Residents’ Services and inform him that everything is ready. Not only will he begin preparing for your new residents to begin arriving the next day, but he will also recognise all of your efforts with a special gift. Yes, you guessed it: a batch of fencing. I given 50 pieces of basic wooden fencing to begin with, but from then on, a pair of fence recipes will be available from the ‘Redeem Nook MIles’ section of the Nook Stop at Residents’ Services, implying that you won’t limited to the basic fencing option for long.
