Animal Crossing: Where To Put Your Tent. When you arrive on your Animal Crossing: New Horizons island, you’ll need to set up a tent, and where you put the tent determines where your home is.
There isn’t a very good spot to pitch your tent. If you enjoy fishing, consider pitching your tent near a beach or a river. Put your garden or backyard in an open place if you want it to be spacious.
It’s ultimately up to you, depending on your preferences, but there are a few things to consider because they’ll pay off later.
TIPS FOR SETTING UP YOUR TENT
Keep some room around your tent in case you want to subsequently add outdoor furniture such as a clothesline or even a pool.
While you can place your tent near other buildings, you should consider keeping it away from them. You’ll always have a safe space to run from deadly creatures like wasps and scorpions if you space out your buildings (though you can always cure the bug bites with medicine).
If you wind up putting your tent somewhere you later regret, you can move it once the Resident Services centre is upgraded. Moving your lot will cost you 30,000 Bells, which is a lot of money at the start of New Horizons. Choose a location that you’ll be happy with until you’re confident enough to float that amount of money.
