The odds of gambling in Diablo 2 Resurrected
A common question from Diablo 2 Resurrected players is about the odds of gambling on different rarities. The following are the gambling odds in Diablo 2 Resurrected:
- Unique item – 1/2000 (0.05%)
- Set item – 2/2000 (0.10%)
- Rare item – 200/2000 (10%)
- Magical item – 1797/2000 (89%)
These figures are taken from the Diablo Wiki, and the odds are unaffected by your character’s level, magic find, vendor, or anything else. As you might expect, unique items are extremely rare, with only a one in two thousand chance of appearing, so the vast majority of your rolls will be magical items.
Best Diablo 2 Resurrected Gambling Items
The following are the best items to gamble with in Diablo 2 Resurrected:
- Circlets
- Coronets
- Rings
- Amulets

All of these items have the potential to roll some extremely favorable attributes, making them best-in-slot gambling items. However, if you are leveling, you could also roll for lower-level items. If you have some extra gold, boots, gloves, and belts are good low-level gambling items.
Plus all skills, faster cast rate, faster run and walk speed, raw stats, resistances, and, of course, sockets are the best stats to aim for. When betting on rings, aim for a faster cast rate, double attributes, life, mana, and resistances. Depending on your class, you can also choose a double leech ring.
One thing to keep in mind is that the item level (iLvl) of what you’re gambling on is determined by your character level (cLvl). Your gambled item’s item level can be +4 or -5 of your character level. In other words, if you are level 90, you can roll a gambled item up to a 94 item level or as low as an 85 item level.
Resurrected Diablo 2 Gambling Costs
In Diablo 2 Resurrected, the cost of gambling is solely determined by your character level. The higher your character’s level, the more expensive gambling items are. Except for rings and amulets, which always cost the same regardless of level, this is true.
You can cut your gambling costs by using two items:
- Gheed’s Fortune
- Edge Bow
Gheed’s Fortune is a one-of-a-kind Grand Charm item that, among other things, reduces vendor prices by up to 15%. Edge Bow is a Rune Word that also reduces vendor prices by 15%. If you intend to do a lot of gambling, you should consider keeping these items to save money in the long run.
That pretty much covers everything you need to know about gambling in Diablo 2 Resurrected, including how to do it and how the items you roll are determined. See our Diablo 2 Resurrected section for more related content, builds, and guides.
