All Portal Locations in Bravely Default 2
Bravely Default 2 by Square Enix was recently released on Steam on September 2, 2021. Unlike Bravely Second: End Layer, Bravely Default 2 is the third instalment in the Bravely series and is not a straight sequel to Bravely Default. Portals are a new feature in Bravely Default 2, and they’re essential for increasing level caps and growing characters.
Players in Bravely Default 2 can choose from a variety of jobs. Although all Jobs have a maximum level of 12, Portals allow them to be increased to level 15. While exploring the landscape of Bravely Default 2, players may have noticed stone portals.
For good reason, these Portals will not be available until Chapter 7. Players will be sent to the Halls of Tribulation after engaging with them, where they will combat the souls of Asterisk holders and have a chance to raise their Job levels. There will be three to battle at once, each with an enhanced difficulty spike in health and damage output. As a result, it’s best to wait until later in the game to try these portals. Players with levels in the mid to late 80s and 90s should be able to track down all seven portals and have a fighting chance.
Portal 1: Halcyonia – Northwest
The first Portal can be found in Halcyonia’s northwest field, near the back. It will be on the left side of the road, facing the mountains. Despite the fact that it is the first Portal, it should be tackled last. Players will be able to upgrade their Black Mage, Bravebearer, and Bastion jobs as a result of this.
Lady Emma (Black Mage), Sir Sloan (Bravebearer), and Lonsdale will be the opponents (Bastion). Sir Sloan should be taken care of first because he has no weaknesses and a BP boost. Lady Emma could be the next to fall. Fortunately, she has the most flaws (wind, holy, earth, and bows), but players should be wary of her magic. Finally, despite his weight, Lonsdale is vulnerable to darkness and daggers, and he lacks strength. As a result, he should save the best for last.
Portal 2: Halcyonia – East
The second Portal is the polar opposite of the first. This one is located east of Halcyonia, near the waterfall, on the other side of the eastern bridge. Players can increase their Bard, Beastmaster, Thief, and Gambler jobs by completing this portal.
Players will face Orpheus (Bard), Anihal (Beastmaster), Bernard (Thief), and Shirley (Shirley) at this portal (Gambler). Defeat Orpheus first because he has the least HP of the four and can empower his friends. Water and bows are two of his weaknesses.
After that, go after Shirley and Anihal, who both have low HP. Shirley is vulnerable to earth and swords, whereas Anihal is vulnerable to lightning. Bernard (weak to light and axes) can steal MP and BP, therefore defeating him before the other two may be preferable.
Portal 3: Savalon – Northeast
Near Savalon, the third portal can be found. It’s on a cliff near the seashore in the northeast. The cap for the Salvemaker, Shieldmaster, and Swordmaster jobs is unlocked after completing this portal.
Glenn (Salvemaker), Galahad (Shieldmaster), and Gladys are the Asterisk holders of this portal (Swordmaster). Defeat Glenn first since he can repair and restore his squad, but maintain his and Galahad’s HP close to the same level because Galahad will defend Glenn if his HP drops below a certain threshold. Gladys can be targeted after they’ve been vanquished.

Glenn is vulnerable to lightning and spear strikes, Galahad to holy and rod attacks, and Gladys to earth and bow assaults.
Portal 4: Wiswald – Northeast
Northeast of Wiswald near the coast hidden among trees is the fourth portal. The Asterisks from here are Dragoon, Spiritmaster, and Oracle.
Portal 5: Rimedhal – Northeast
Players will face off against Martha (Dragon), Helio (Spiritmaster), and Domenic (Spiritmaster) (Oracle). Helio and Domenic, who can heal/revive and buff respectively, should be defeated first because they are support characters. If Domenic manages to buff Marla, the fight will be more tough to win, therefore eliminate both of her assistance mages before going after her.
Helio is vulnerable to darkness and swords, Domenic to darkness and daggers, and Marla to fire and axes.
Portal 6: Rimedhal – Northwest
Players will face off against Martha (Dragon), Helio (Spiritmaster), and Domenic (Spiritmaster) (Oracle). Helio and Domenic, who can heal/revive and buff respectively, should be defeated first because they are support characters. If Domenic manages to buff Marla, the fight will be more tough to win, therefore eliminate both of her assistance mages before going after her.

Portal 7: Holograd – Northwest
The final Portal can be found at the west near Holograd. Completion will upgrade the Red Mage, Vanguard, White Mage, and Ranger Jobs.
Selene (White Mage), Dag (Vanguard), Roddy (Red Mage), and Lily (Red Mage) will be the opponents (Ranger). The two healers, Selene and Roddy, make this Portal more difficult than the others. Players will obviously want to concentrate their efforts on defeating these two initially. Lily is the most powerful of the four, so after Roddy and Selene are defeated, go for her and look out for her Brave. Dag will be easy to beat once all three have been dealt with.

Roddy is susceptible to spears, whereas Selene is weak to darkness and swords. Light, rods, swords, and spears are all weak against Lily and Dag, respectively.
