Genshin Impact Yoimiya Team Comp Yoimiya Team Comp.In this post, we analyzed all characters to find the best team comp for Yoimiya. As always, we tried to find the best synergy that will fit every type of player, from F2P to whales.
Table of Contents
How We Choose the Characters for Yoimiya’s Team Comp:
Yoimiya is an extensive character at an attack velocity. Her basic ability allows her to consistently deal with Pyro damage.
Thanks to this mechanics, she excels in one goal and can take it out quite fast.
But this is also a weakness because it is a single target character. Apart from the elementary burst, she can not do any splash damage.
But here comes into the picture a good team comp.
We formulated a couple of team members to synergize the Yoimiya style of playing best for these reasons.
Here are the factors we have taken into account when recommending a team of Yoimiya:
- Compensate Yoimiya’s lack of crowd controlling skills.
- Enhance Yoimiya’s Pyro damage output.
- Increase Yoimiya’s ability to proc elemental reactions consistently.
- Activate at least one elemental resonance without affecting synergy.
- Enhance survivability to take on the hardest challenges in the game.
Yoimiya’s Best Team Comp:
We analysed all characters in the highest constellation of Yoimiya’s best team member.
This team-mate is for our whale friends, who can maximise all constellations of all characters.
We came up with this is the comp team:
Character | Role | Artifact Set | Preferred Constellation Level |
---|---|---|---|
Yoimiya | Main DPS | 4-piece Shimenawa’s Reminiscence | C6 |
Venti | Burst DPS Crowd Control | 4-piece Viridescent Venerer | C6 |
Ganyu | Burst DPS Enabler | 4-piece Blizzard Strayer | C4 |
Bennett | Heal Support Buff Support | 4-piece Noblesse Oblige | C6 |
The Melt elementary reaction is used by this comp team. Damage-wise, for Pyro characters this elemental reaction is simply the best.
But because of how Yoimiya is playing, not many Cryo characters are up to their attack speed.
Ganyu is in the game here. She’s playing for this team as the enabler and sub-DPS.
Ganyu and Yoimiya typically mean two main DPS teams in the Spiral Abyss in two different teams.
But it’s no biggie if you’re a whale. In your character pool, you’ve probably got other C6 5 star characters. I’m not jealous of course, of course, not all…
Their basic burst can be almost the same rate as Yoimiya’s attack speed for constant Cryo damage.
This characteristic makes it the perfect match for the flurry of Pyro damage by Yoimiya.
Furthermore, the second constellation of Ganyu will give her two charges of elementary ability, so that the elemental burst regenerates more energy.
Its fourth structure amplifies up to 25 percent of the damage suffered by the opponents.
By contrast, through ViridescentVenerer, Venti will control the crowd while reducing the elementary resistance of the enemy.
In the case of elementary absorption, its 6th constellation reduces the elemental resistance by 20 per cent further.
With his Windrider passive talent, he can also provide his coaches with additional energy regeneration.
Finally, Bennett acts as a team’s assault booster and healer.
He also activates the elementary reaction from Fervent Flames, which gives the team a 25% attack bonus
Yoimiya’s High-End Team Comp:
We limited ourselves to selecting 5 star characters without constellations for Yoimiya’s high-end team member. But in their maximum constellation we also analysed 4-star characters.
Here, however, is the best high-end team we’ve found:
Character | Role | Artifact Set | Preferred Constellation Level |
---|---|---|---|
Yoimiya | Main DPS | 4-piece Shimenawa’s Reminiscence | Any |
Venti | Burst DPS Crowd Control | 4-piece Viridescent Venerer | C6 |
Mona | Burst DPS Enabler | 4-piece Emblem of Severed Fate | C5 |
Bennett | Heal Support Buff Support | 4-piece Noblesse Oblige | C6 |
With Yoimiya as the main DPS, this lineup utilises the elementar vaporising and vaporising reaction.
Yoimiya’s most obvious weakness is her lack of sustainable control of the crowd. As mentioned above.
This and more can be provided by Venti.
It also gives elementary resistance to enemies and boosts Pyro damage to Yoimiya.
Moreover, his passive Windrider talent gives the party energy that allows Yoimiya even the Shimenawa reminiscence artefact effect to charge her elementary explosion.
Alternatively, Kazuha can be used to increase elementary damage, but the effectiveness of the crowd is reduced.
On the other side, Mona permits elementary reactions to vaporise while the damage caused by her elementary burst is enormously increased.
As an enabler, Xingqiu could be a better choice if it’s more consistent to activate Vaporization.
However, the elementary explosion of Mona can make more than it can, particularly if you are up against enemies with high HPs such as those in the Spriral Abyss.
Quick Tip: Whenever you are ready to unleash a basic burst of Mona, first apply Pyro to your enemies, to maximise the exploitation of her burst.
Finally, the ever trustworthy Bennett offers the team a huge fuel for the attack.
Since Yoimiya is a Pyro character, the 6th constellation of Bennett can add a further 15% to its Pyro damage.
But I would suggest that you leave Bennett at C5 if you intend using Bennett to another character, with another element in the future.
Bennett also activates the elemental resonance of the Fervent Flame party and increases the attack by an extra 25 percent.
Yoimiya’s Mid-Tier Team Comp:
We limit ourselves to selecting only 4-star characters as part of Yoimiya’s party for this team comp.
Here’s the lineup we came up with:
Character | Role | Artifact Set | Preferred Constellation Level |
---|---|---|---|
Yoimiya | Main DPS | 4-piece Shimenawa’s Reminiscence | Any |
Sucrose | Burst DPS Crowd Control | 4-piece Viridescent Venerer | C6 |
Xingqiu | Burst DPS Enabler | 4-piece Emblem of Severed Fate | C6 |
Bennett | Heal Support Buff Support | 4-piece Noblesse Oblige | C6 |
The Vaporize and Reverse Vaporize elementary reaction is also used by this team.
Sucrose provides crowd control and tears away the elementary resistance of enemies to enhance Yoimiya’s damage (through the four piece Virisdescent Venerer).
The Elemental Mastery bonus of her passive abilities also increases the damage caused by the Vaporize and Return-Vaporize reaction.
But if you can replace Sucrose with Venti, this team comp works better. As you know, the elementary burst of Venti is much better in the way Yoimiya controls the crowd.
However, Xingqiu is the most striking feature in this team.
Yoimiya’s F2P-Friendly Team Comp:
This team comp focuses on the Free characters you can get early in the game.
If you’ve been playing for a while now, we don’t recommend going with this team.
However, if you just started and happen to get Yoimiya with your rolls, you can start with this team until you get more characters that synergize better with Yoimiya.
Character | Role | Artifact Set | Preferred Constellation Level |
---|---|---|---|
Yoimiya | Main DPS | 4-piece Lavawalker | Any |
Anemo Traveler | Burst DPS | 4-piece Viridescent Venerer | Any |
Xiangling | Burst DPS | 4-piece Crimson Witch of Flames | Any |
Barbara | Heal Support | 4-piece Noblesse Obliged | Any |
This comp team uses no basic reaction, but focuses instead on improving Yoimiya’s Pyro damage.
This plays an important role for the Anemo Traveler. It not only crumbles the Pyro resistance of the enemy through the Venerer set, it also reduces elemental resistance by 20 percent with it at C6.
The only role of Barbara is to provide the party with healing. And although Barbara could still use Hydro elements to opponents, Yoimiya cannot make full use of her elemental skills with the Hydro application.
This failure is mainly due to the varied nature of Yoimiya.
Xiangling, on the other hand, can provide constant Pyro to enemies through her elemental skill and burst so you can take full advantage of the Lavawalker set.
She also enables the Pyro elemental resonance, which will give a +25% bonus attack for the team.
Yoimiya’s Damage Showcase Team Comp:
This team comp focuses only on showcasing Yoimiya’s damage against boss or mini-bosses.
Although the team we came up with on this segment is not bad at all, it doesn’t consider any other variables such as burst uptime, survivability, etc.
Here’s the best damage showcase team you can use:
Character | Role | Artifact Set | Preferred Constellation Level |
---|---|---|---|
Yoimiya | Main DPS | 4-piece Shimenawa’s Reminiscence | Any |
Kazuha | Buff Support | 4-piece Viridescent Venerer | C2 |
Ganyu | Buff Support Enabler | 4-piece Tenacity of the Millelith | C4 |
Bennett | Buff Support | 4-piec e Noblesse Oblige | C6 |
The role of Kazuha is to increase the damage done by Yoimiya by his passive talents. Through the Viridescent Venerer set it breaks the enemy’s basic resistance.
The enabler of the Melt reaction is Ganyu, which is a Pyro-strongest character’s reaction.
But you can do Xingqiu if you don’t have her in your team.
No other Cryo character, unfortunately, can supply a continuous Cryo application which is fast enough to keep Yoimiya’s attack speed up.

Bennett boosts Yoimiya’s attack through his elemental burst and the set effect of the 4-piece Noblesse Oblige.
When doing a damage showcase, we suggest doing it with this sequence:
- Apply Pyro through Bennett’s elemental skill.
- Use Kazuha’s elemental skill to boost Yoimiya’s Pyro damage.
- Unleash Ganyu’s elemental burst to apply continuous Cryo on your opponent.
- Use Yoimiya’s elemental skill and fire away.
Honorable Mentions:
There is still a lot of other team lineup and character combinations that will work well with Yoimiya.
Let me share a few of them here:
Alternative team 1:
Character | Role | Artifact Set | Preferred Constellation Level |
---|---|---|---|
Yoimiya | Main DPS | 4-piece Shimenawa’s Reminiscence | Any |
Electro Traveler | Enabler | 4-piece Tenacity of the Millelith | C6 |
Beidou | Burst DPS Enabler | 2-piece Thundering Fury 2-piece Noblesse Oblige | C6 |
Bennett | Heal Support Buff Support | 4-piece Noblesse Oblige | C6 |
Overload elementary reaction is used by this team comp. And probably that’s the line-up I like most.
You can unlock the elementary High Voltage resonance with The Electro Traveler and Beidou on the team. This resonance allows you to load the elementary explosion of Beidou quite fast.
Although the Anemo characters can not group the enemies of this team, this issue is addressed somehow by Beidou’s chain lightning effect.
In addition, The Traveler boosts your attack through the Millelith.
The Electro Traveler also serves as a super battery for Beidou, increasing its primary burst uptime significantly.
The Electro Traveler, Beidou and Yoimiya combination allows you to overload almost all the time.
And don’t forget that Bennett will activate the resonance of the Fervent Flame so that two elementary resonances with this team will be achieved.
The knockback effect of the elementary overload reaction, is the only downside of this team.
Yoimiya is a wide range character, so it ought not to be too much a problem. However, if you do not check the distance well, you might lose some of your DPS.
Alternative team 2:
Character | Role | Artifact Set | Preferred Constellation Level |
---|---|---|---|
Yoimiya | Main DPS | 4-piece Shimenawa’s Reminiscence | Any |
Beidou | Burst DPS Enabler | 2-piece Thundering Fury 2-piece Noblesse Oblige | C6 |
Xingqiu | Burst DPS Enabler | 4-piece Emblem of Severed Fate | C6 |
Bennett | Heal Support Buff Support | 4-piece Noblesse Oblige | C6 |
This comp-Team enables you to trigger a three-way elementary reaction, vaporising and electrical reactions.
Electro-charged, as you know, is unusual because it allows the elementary electro and hydro counters to remain on the target even after the reaction is triggered.
This reaction enables Yoimiya to trigger the elemental reaction associated with Pyro (overload and vaporise), enabling an elemental three-way reaction.
Beidou’s basic burst will also compensate a little for the failure of Anemo’s excellent crowd-control skills.
The DPS potential of this comp team can correspond to any other team we mentioned in this post with both Beidou and Xingiu’s elementary burst.
Unfortunately, this Yoimiya team comp relies on the elemental burst of her support characters.
Therefore, I would suggest increasing both Xingqiu and Beidou’s energy recharge to increase their elemental burst uptime.
Alternative team 3:
Character | Role | Artifact Set | Preferred Constellation Level |
---|---|---|---|
Yoimiya | Main DPS | 4-piece Shimenawa’s Reminiscence | Any |
Albedo | Shield Support Buff Support | 4-piece Tenacity of the Millelith | Any |
Zhongli | Burst DPS Shield Support | 2-piece Archaic Petra 2-piece Noblesse Oblige | Any |
Bennett | Heal Support Buff Support | 4-piece Noblesse Oblige | C6 |
This team comp is the most survivable of all the character lineup presented in this guide.
It does not rely on basic reactions to increase the damage to Yoimiya.
The dual resonance of Pyro and Geo is used instead. A 25% additional attack bonus is given by Fervent Flames (Pyro Resonance).
Enduring rock, on the other hand, gives an additional 15% damage bonus plus 15% shield strength boosts.
Albedo provides the Millelith set with a constant attack bonus and also causes additional damages, even when he is not active on the field.
On top of the strong shield, Zhongli also provides the only crowd control skill for your team.
But it’s not that bad though. And I bet you’d be amazed how fast Zhongli can charge his elemental burst with this lineup.
Conclusion:
We suggest picking characters that allow elemental reactions to vaporise or overload when trying to develop the best Yoimiya team.
And, while we have analysed what we consider to be Yoimiya’s most sustainable team, your joy in playing the game is what is most important.
If you want to use your Husbando or Waifu for any team we have suggested, go ahead.
