Eastward Overview Review.If video games built to transport us to escapism, then Eastward is our one-way ticket out of the humdrum. Developed by Pixpil with publishing duties by Chucklefish, Eastward fuses the nostalgia of RPG adventures with its own collection of quirky characters, its map of unique passing towns, and its relentless, engaging storytelling.

You never get bored to explore Eastward never find where the last five hours are gone by with much to observe, interact and discover.

Levi, Furlan, and Isabel from Attack on Titan believe that the narrative at the centre of Eastwards is somehow familiar. During their days, they live underground and wonder what views waited for them above. In the near future, people who fled the above world when a toxic threat invaded the subterranean civilization living in Potcrock Isle was established. Generations that have grown up under the ground have agreed that the overbearing Mayor’s cement is nothing above them. Even though most citizens accept the word of the Mayor and think that any talk about a living world overlooks the absurdity, one girl insists that the surface is beautiful.

Its animation style is not for everybody, but the immersive, colourful expanse before you is hard to fall in love.

Veteran PC players unlikely able to navigate the controls and attacks, but play with a controller recommended. The dexterity of Eastward is seamless and it is easy to control sudden attacks by players with a panic trigger and aim – a bonus in adrenalin-fueled situations as well.

Health depletion isn’t too relentless, but it’s sufficient to make you feel like a hero. In addition, you reward falling enemies, especially if you’re far from resources, with enormous support. That is not, however, an excuse for the restoration of your food.

There is no box for an outsider because every new scenario shows something out of the box. From teasing a theme Isekai in the prologue to the appearance of several creatures, some are slippery, some snappy. Some early emotional twing – circular bullying, convictions and the strength of the paternal connection with their kid – brings Eastward back to solid ground only to grip you with the imagination and retire into the next scene.

Games such as Thimbleweed Park have perfectly balanced the real world with sci-fi. Eastward combines the efficient, pan attack—a tool that also serves food cooking—to create an equilibrated duo to tackle the challenges ahead, with Sam’s intrusive ability. Sam also has its friendship support system – a group which recalls the Stranger Things gang particularly when huddled by an arcade game.

Referring to the above-mentioned world as the “forbidden country,” threatened by an ambiguity as a punishment for rebellion, Eastward leans on the imagination to taste his storey, without forgetting its core, real values. Thankfully its smooth, fast travel and control motions allow you to explore and enjoy the view before going any further because, despite its fascinating destination, Eastward is all about this journey.Eastward Overview Review
