Talk to Kumi
You will find an NPC named Kumi at the beach on Watatsumi Island’s West Coast. She will need your help in preparing an offer to a friend in her childhood. Kumi will ask you to bring her three Sakura Blooms after you have spoken to her.
If your inventory of Sakura Blooms is not present, visit Sakura Bloom and get some in the Grand Narukami Shrine area. After the item collected, the player must return to Kumi to continue his quest.
Defeat Hilichurl Camp in the West
After you have submitted the blooms, the NPC will ask you to check in on a researcher last seen close to a Hilichurl camp on the island’s west coast.
Head to that Hilichurl camp and beat all of them that surround the researcher.
Unlock the puzzle
Once the researcher is rescued successfully, the player will be told about a possible treasure in that region. Three fundamental totems (two electro totems, one hydro) are noticed by players in the area. Sadly, an Electro Barrier bubble blocks one of the Electro totems.
The next step is to solve the Watatsumi Statue Puzzle by unlocking the Puzzle.
Take the Hilichurl hut and turn on the Electrogranum plant to access the blocked totem. Return to the Hilichurl afterwards to disable the barrier.
If the Electrogranum level of the player is not enough, the totem can still be activated by shooting with Lisa or Fischl’s bow.

Use the Hydro or Electro character to turn on the two left totems once the totem has been activated. Once you’ve activated three of the totems, you can complete the puzzle next to Anisa.
Solve the Puzzle of the Watatsumi Statue
In this puzzle, you must manage to reach to glowing tile platform by getting all the bonus tiles along the way activated. But if you step twice on a tile, you will fail the mission immediately.
- Begin the puzzle by standing on the first tile.
- Walk in the direction of the floating statue.
- Once reached the statue, “Pay Respects at the Statue” to unveil additional tiles.
- Head to the revealed tiles around to the opposite side, then interact with the Watatsumi statue for the second time.
- As it reveals a bonus tile, it will make a path for you to reach the final tile of the puzzle.
Talk to Anisa and Kumi
You can get an exquisite chest after you’ve finished this puzzle. Please make sure that the last time you talk to Kumi and Anisa you get a bonus of 40 first hands to complete the puzzle.
