How to Farm the Auto-Petter Quickly
What Is an Auto-Petter?
When placed in a barn or coop, the Auto-Petter is a device that automatically pets animals. You save time because you no longer have to click your animals to keep them pleased.
Community Center Route
There are 3 ways in single player…
How to obtain the Auto-Petter
- As a reward from a random treasure chest in the Skull Cavern.
- as an uncommon drop from unique opponents in the perilous mines. The antenna of special slimes is decorated with a golden star. Other special foes simply have the same appearance as always; you cannot tell them apart.
- as a sporadic drop from a unique barrel or container in the hazardous mines. They resemble regular barrels or boxes so closely that you cannot tell them apart.
So, as you may guess, this useful tool is pretty rare.
How do we raise chances to find them?
The skull caverns were the greatest route for me to go. Chances are really slim, despite the fact that I had great luck on my first risky mine run and discovered one… You’d better head to the skull cavern’s treasure chests.
Preparations
What do you need?
- Staircases! A lot of staicases!
- Magic Rock Candy
- a few foods (nothing that changes stats, just healing items like Cheese)
- A good day
- Maybe a Rabbit’s foot? Don’t now if it works…
Collect a ton of stones
For one run, I built 200 stairs by hand. No matter how many, go ahead and extend the run however long you’d like. If you have the cash, you can purchase them from Robin. For stairs, two million is a lot.
Get your hands on Magic Rock Candy
This will give us a luck bonus of +5. You can’t get better than that. They drop extremely seldom from Haunted Skulls, but you may also exchange one for three prismatic shards every Thursday from the desert trader. As a reward for contributing 90 artifacts, the museum gives you one at the end.
Food
You won’t require food if you do it correctly. Just in case, always have some on hand. If you sustain a lot of damage, a lot of cheese or cactus works nicely. Just be sure it doesn’t grant any status boosts—overwriting the status buffs from magic rock candy would be too bad.

A good day
Ask the fortune teller about your fortunes each morning as you turn on the television.
The best chance for you is when he states, “The spirits are really happy today! They’ll try their hardest to bring luck to everyone.
The second-best statement is: “The spirits are cheerful today. I predict a bit additional luck for you.
Rabbit’s foot
I’m unsure if it increases your luck stat. I do, however, always travel with an iridium foot. merely in case. Please correct me in the comments if you are certain. If I am wrong, I will change this.
The Auto-Petter Run
- Check the fortune teller first thing in the morning to see if your luck is good for the day. If so, cover the stairs, your food, and the Magic Rock Candy. Go for the cave of the skull.
- Go to level 10; this is the lowest level at which chests can appear. The first nine levels don’t have any chests.
- Eat your magical rock candy now, and then stairs will appear. Neglect all foes, ore nodes, etc. Simply descend as quickly as you can. Of course, you can save up your resources and spend them if you notice nearby staircases or shafts.
If you have already finished Qi’s Challenge, you will receive a quarantined chest at level 100 and, depending on your luck, many more chests as you descend.
Simply end your game and start over if you used up all of your staircases on the way down and didn’t find an Auto-Petter. On every subsequent run, you will receive entirely new content because the floors of the skull cavern are completely arbitrary. In this manner, you can avoid wasting candy and stairways.
That’s It
I completed three of those runs and exited the game using Alt-F4 a total of six times before I was able to obtain the Auto-Petters Nr. 2 to 4 I required for my two barns and two coops.
If you’re lucky, you may get more than 1 on a run.
Joja-Mart Route (just for the sake of completion)
Once you’ve completed the Joja warehouse route, you can just pay Joja a whooping 50.000 to purchase Auto-Petter. You want to get them from the community center route since the Joja route is terrible.
