League Of Legends Wild Rift Lux Guide Lux is regarded as one of the game’s few poster children in League of Legends: Wild Rift. Her exceptionally high play rate, combined with the sheer quantity of skins made for her in comparison to most other Champions, only adds to this fact.
Lux is a powerful Mage who can do massive AOE (Area of Effect) damage to any enemy on the Rift from anywhere. She also has the utility to shield other teammates and herself, as well as the ability to use CC (Crowd Control) to catch unsuspecting opponents or stall them long enough for her or her allies to flee danger. Let’s take a closer look at what makes League of Legends: Wild Rift’s Lux so unique!
Table of Contents
Lux’s Passive Power
When Lux uses one of her abilities on an enemy, they take additional Magic Damage when she auto strikes them. Her Ultimate Ability has the ability to activate the effect. This Passive Ability boosts Lux’s Burst Damage and rewards those who can get near enough to their targets to auto-attack them. Which is especially important given Lux’s lack of mobility. Which makes her more vulnerable to being killed when she gets that close to her target.
Lux’s Q Power
Lux sends forth a ring of light in a straight line that can ensnare up to two opponents while causing Magic Damage. The snare effect prevents the opponent from moving or using dash abilities, allowing Lux to easily land all of her following abilities. Or even setting up her allies to take down the snared adversaries.
Snares also disable a lot of Meta Champions, as most of them rely on high mobility to survive and defeat their opponents. This talent can also be used to aid teammates or Lux players in escaping from their adversaries. As they won’t be able to keep up with them.
Lux’s W Power
Lux tosses her wand in a linear direction that protects any teammates it goes through, then it returns to her, like a boomerang, along the same path, awarding her the shield as well. Because players will be one on one in the Mid-lane, or even if utilised in the Duo lane as a Support, the shield will be relatively modest early on, this talent may appear to be a bit underwhelming. This skill, on the other hand, can assist turn the tides of a team fight, and if utilised correctly, the shield can save a player’s whole team, including themselves, from death.
Lux’s E Power
Lux fires a ball of light in a straight line that slows foes in its path. When the skill is used again, it explodes, dealing AOE Magic Damage. This ability is useful for clearing minion waves to open up rapid push lanes or even defending against an impending tower siege.
It’s also incredibly handy for poking adversaries from a distance when most Champions are unable to counterattack. Furthermore, this skill has an extremely short cooldown, allowing her to cast abilities with very little downtime in the Mid to Late Game.
Lux’s Ultimate Power
Lux fires a broad beam of light in a straight line with a limitless range. If an adversary has already been hit by her Q or E talents, it deals huge quantities of Magic Damage and activates her Passive Ability.
This talent may be used to quickly burst snared enemies, pick off low-health adversaries from all around the map, steal neutral objectives, stop recall animations, clear minion waves quickly to stop opposing tower sieges, and much more. The more skilled players grow at Lux, the more usefulness they’ll be able to extract from her abilities, particularly her Ultimate Ability.

Lux’s Special Tricks & Combos
- Lux’s basic combo is Q – E – R – AA. However, to maximize her burst potential, players can do Q – E – R – E – AA. Doing it this way doesn’t waste any of her Passive stacks, which adds in extra damage most players would miss in combat using Lux.
- Lux can gain vision of hidden areas with her E and Ultimate Ability, which can be very handy when scouting for enemy ambushes / ganks, or checking the status of an unwarded neutral objective.
- can animation cancel her Q with Flash, by doing Q – Flash, making it impossible to dodge or react to when used perfectly.
- Lux can Flash while casting her Ultimate Ability to confuse enemies of the trajectory since it will cast from her original location before Flashing.
