In Genshin Impact, Khedive gives players three quests: Mycological Investigation in The Chasm, Mycological Investigation in The Chasm, and Mycological Investigation in The Chasm. The Sumeru researcher is investigating the Underground Chasm, forming a team of Chasm explorers in the process. He allegedly paid for the entire mission out of his own money. This, paired with the benefit Liyue will obtain from his research, allows Khedive to complete his research.
Travelers will meet Zhiqiong, a cartographer, while exploring the Underground Chasm. Because she is the one who creates the layout of the Mining Area, this explorer will be an important part of the expedition. However, players must finish the Chasm Delvers World Quest in order to complete the map of the Genshin Impact Chasm. This task needs participants to go to various parts of the Underground Chasm. Players will stumble upon a Starshroom, a delicious item with properties similar to Sunsettias and Apples, at some point. A Starshroom is also necessary to begin the Mycological Investigation in Genshin Impact’s The Chasm Quest.
The Chasm Genshin Impact Quest: A Mycological Investigation
Players must acquire at least one Starshroom to begin the Mycological Investigation in Genshin Impact’s The Chasm Quest. After that, they should speak with Khedive in the explorer encampment and select the “So, about these mushrooms…” option while speaking with him.
The Khedive will request eight Starshrooms from the Travelers. After collecting the requisite amount, players should return to the researcher and select the “Here are the mushrooms you requested.” option.

Players will receive the following rewards for gathering eight Starshrooms in The Chasm Quest’s Mycological Investigation:
- Primogems (x20)
- Adventure EXP (x150)

In The Chasm, this Sumeru researcher has three investigative quests. One requires individuals to photograph five Genshin Impact Ancient Fossils, while the other asks them to fish a Strange Object from the Underground Waterway’s west bank. Players can earn the “Of the Human Heart Many Essays Written” achievement/trophy by assisting Khedive with all three World Quests. They will also receive an Academia Recommendation Letter from the researcher.
In Genshin Impact, Where Can You Find Star Mushrooms?
Travelers should proceed to the Underground Waterway to find Starshrooms in the Underground Chasm. Players can locate Genshin Impact’s Uncle He NPC in the region, which is a big log. The region is also covered in Floating Hydro Fungus for those who are having problems finding it.
The Glowing Narrows is the next location where Starshrooms grow. Travelers can find a lot of fungus here, as well as a big glowing mushroom named Xamaran. Players can assist Xamaran with a series of Genshin Impact quests. Players will get the “The Mushroom That Asks Too Much” Achievement/Trophy after completing the Dimming Mushroom’s Call for Help task.
