The West Garden
Players will find themselves outside near a little wooden. Sign with the words “West Garden” inscribed onto it, along with some nonsense symbol. After obtaining the lamp and clearing out the Dark Tomb. Follow the directions on the sign down the small path to the left and into the West Garden.
Players should proceed down the path in the West Garden. Until they reach a massive set of stone stairs leading to a Hero’s Grave. Nothing can be done for the time being, so proceed past. The steps and over a fallen pillar to pass beneath an overhead bridge.
Round the corner and you’ll find a fox shrine adjacent to a wishing well, past a mysterious, metallic door. Behind the wishing well is a secret path that leads. To another shop selling a range of consumables and health potions.
Take the road away from the fox shrine and turn around on. The bigger bridge path until it opens up into a larger platform with a crocodile-like creature facing Tunic.
Chompignom is the name of this monster, and it attacks with rapid, savage bites. Take the Chompignom down, then climb up to a small trail. That leads to a guidebook page with survival suggestions and a map of the West Garden.
Return to the platform were the Chompignom was and pass the fallen pillar. On the left into the shallow water using the side path. Take the fork in the road that leads to stairs. That provide players access to the next island by following the outline of the rubble beneath the water’s surface.
Walk down the somewhat hidden steps to a line of wooden planks. That cross the lake below, then open the neighbouring chest for some extra cash.
The Area Below The Bridge
Take a right after crossing the wooden planks and follow the path to the same overhead bridge you saw previously. To cross another wooden plank, turn left and continue the path beneath the bridge.
Another treasure box may be found at the end of this route, and a small wooden ladder leads up to a shortcut bridge that can be lowered for quick access back to the fox shrine near the West Garden’s entrance.
Return down the ladder and beneath the bridge once this shortcut is open. Continue under the bridge until you reach a fork in the road, then descend into a new region.
Players will face off against a horde of Chompignoms and Fairies, stone creatures that fire magical blasts that can harm or freeze Tunic. Take them out and cross the platform to another wrecked room through an archway.
There are more Fairies here, so swiftly dispatch them and climb the wooden plank that goes to the wall atop the archway that the players used to reach here.
Follow the wall around to a fallen pillar that leads to another arena with three Chompignoms after crossing more water. Because this is a difficult combat, don’t be hesitant to employ a ranged weapon like a firecracker to deal early damage to one of the foes.
Continue on to another combat with a handful of Fairies after defeating those Chompignoms. After you’ve defeated them, uncover the treasure chest they guarded for an extra 50 dollars. To get to the top of the bridge, take the ramp on the left.
At The Crossroads
Once on the bridge, look to the left for the Rudeling, then proceed up the route to the right. A line of purple, glowing runes, similar to those found in the passage leading to the shield, should be visible on the floor.
Another Rudeling may be found down the left-hand path, but be careful not to choose him because there’s another Rudeling with a shield just beyond him.
For the time being, ignore the baddies and follow the purple runes to the right to find another fox shrine buried among the ruins. If possible, save here to regain health and health potions, or use it to improve Tunic’s stats. Return to the main part of the bridge and slay the Rudeling Knights on the left before clearing the foliage that is blocking the bridge passage leading up and to the right.
Another Rudeling and two Chompignoms are on the opposite side of this vegetation, so battle carefully. Avoid the Chompignoms bites by staying out of range of the Rudeling’s blade and strafing regularly. Take them down to the island they were on, cross over to it, and descend the steps and around the corner into the cave.
There are a few clay pots in the little room within, and at the back is a short stone pedestal with a blue, glowing dagger resting on top. Players can claim the Magic Dagger by simply going up to it and hitting the A button (on an Xbox controller). In order for players to utilise the Magic Dagger once it has been acquired, it must be mapped to the Y, X, or B button.
The Magic Dagger immobilises foes in a narrow line right in front of Tunic, slowing their movement and making them vulnerable to attack. Tunic has enough magic points (MP) to use the Magic Dagger three times, but he can replenish his MP by eating MP restorative items, collecting blue crystals dropped by vanquished opponents, or resting at a fox shrine.
Tunic is now available on Steam and the Microsoft Store for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Game Pass, and PC.
