How to teleport in Minecraft 2022. Do you need to cross the map quickly? In Minecraft, there is a means to teleport, but it may not be clear at first.
The ability to teleport in Minecraft isn’t immediately apparent, but it can be done not only on PC, but also on consoles and mobile devices. The good news is that this is the case. The bad news is that teleporting in Minecraft varies by platform, so there is no one-size-fits-all solution for Minecraft aficionados.
To help you learn to teleport and get where you’re going in the blink of an eye, we’ve divided our instructional into platform-specific sections that cover PC, console, and mobile versions of Minecraft.
Table of Contents
On A PC, Teleporting In Minecraft Is Possible
- Start Minecraft on your computer.
- Create or load the world in which you’d want to play.
- Go to the site where you want to teleport in the future – it may be your base, a farm, or a recreation project you’re working on.
- Press F3 + Fn + F3 on PC or Alt + Fn + F3 on Mac to display your current coordinates below the mini-map.  Keep these locations in mind because you’ll need them to teleport back.
- Open the console by hitting the / key on your keyboard when you want to teleport.
- Replace name with your character’s username, x with the east/west coordinate, y with the vertical coordinate, and z with the north/south coordinate in the teleport command teleport name x y z — this should be in the same order as you initially typed the coordinates down. The following is an example of a completed command: 2 43 72 teleport LewwyPaints
- You can also use the command teleport Bert Ernie to teleport to another player’s location (or bring them to you).
- Simply press Enter after typing the command to transfer your player to the specified coordinates.
A word of caution: it’s possible that if you type the coordinates incorrectly, you’ll teleport to solid ground. As a result, your health will quickly deteriorate, and you will die soon after. Simply add the word true to the end of your command to avoid this. This forces the game to check for solid blocks at your teleport location, and if there are, the teleport will be cancelled.
The following are some other short teleport commands:
- /tp @a @s: Want all players to gather at your location? This command does exactly that. If you want to teleport everyone else to another direction, replace s with your desired coordinates.
- /tp £e[type=EnemyName] @X Y Z: This command teleports nearby enemies of a certain type to your location. Replace EnemyName with the type of mod you want to spawn, and X Y Z with your coordinates.
- /tp ~ 62 ~: This command allows you to lock certain coordinates while changing others – ideal if you want to jump up or down to a certain level. Simply replace the coordinate you want to keep the same with a tide (~) and change the others.
Teleporting In Minecraft On Console
Before we get into the console-specific teleportation instruction, it’s worth noting that you can only teleport when you’re hosting a multiplayer world, and you can only teleport to another player’s location, unlike on PC.
Now that that’s out of the way, let’s look at how to teleport in Minecraft on PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
- Start Minecraft from the main menu of your console.
- Select Play Game and choose the world you want to load – but don’t load it yet.
- Make sure that Host Privileges is enabled in Game Options.
- When playing with host rights, select Load and click OK on the warning about the lack of achievements and leaderboard updates.
- To reach the Host menu, hit Options on Xbox or Touchpad on PlayStation once the game has loaded.
- Select Teleport to Player from the Host Options menu.
- This should bring up a list of everyone who is currently playing in your planet. Simply choose a user from this list and you’ll be transferred to their current position right away.
On A Mobile Device, Teleporting In Minecraft Is Possible
Although the lack of a real keyboard may make entering coordinates a tedious task, there is a way to teleport in Minecraft on mobile.
- Start the Minecraft app and select the world you want to play in.
The pause menu may be accessed by tapping the top-right corner of the screen – the icon isn’t always visible, but it’s there. - To utilise teleportation, go to Settings and toggle the Cheats switch on.
- Return to the game by closing the menu and tapping Resume Game.
- At the top of the screen, tap the Chat icon.
- To acquire your current coordinates for future use, type /tp YourUsername into the text box, making sure to replace YourUsername with your Minecraft username. This won’t transfer you somewhere, but it should display your current coordinates in the command menu.
- To teleport, hit the Chat button once more, then write /tp into the text field. YourUsername X Y Z, where X denotes the east/west coordinate, Y denotes the vertical coordinate, and Z is the north/south coordinate.
- To teleport your character to the chosen coordinates, press the Enter button (which looks like a chat bubble with an arrow in it).
