How To Unlock Sellia Town Of Sorcery Barrier In Elden Ring

How To Unlock Sellia Town Of Sorcery Barrier In Elden Ring. In Elden Ring’s Sellia Town, here’s how to break the sorcery barrier.

Players who have progressed through the Soifra River Well will find themselves escape through a massive elevator at the opposite end of the zone. This long ascent will take players deep into Caelid, an Elden Ring zone notorious for its terrible opponents and rotting surroundings. A specter-filled settlement known as Sellia can be found not far from the Soifra River Well exit.

While it is possible to simply port out of the area via the Sites of Grace, the only way to “leave” Sellia Town is to remove the huge barrier that surrounds the large arched gateway. Unwitting gamers will find themselves around the ruins of the town, fighting through hordes of ghostly apparitions capable of quickly shredding through even the largest of health bars with their power.

In Elden Ring’s Sellia Town, here’s how players can break the barrier.

In Sellia Town, There Are Many Obstacles

Although there is one barrier that divides players from the rest of Caelid, it isn’t the only one that players in Sellia Town can open. There are five different barriers to keep players out of specific places in total. Thankfully, once gamers have figured out how to use Sellia Town’s magic and done what they need to do to get rid of the irritating gates, all five of these barriers will be removed.

Two big obstacles cover massive architectural archways, and three others block modest square entrances strewn across the city. All of the minor barriers lead to chests containing various treasures (all of a magical nature). One of the major obstacles leads to freedom and a convenient Grace Site (although there is another Site of Grace in town for those worried about falling to ghostly enemies). The second massive barrier leads to a boss battle involving two formidable foes (for players that are in the early-to-mid game).

Here’s how gamers can break down all of Sellia Town’s walls.

How to Break Through the Barriers in Sellia Town

Thankfully, unlocking the gates in Sellia Town is rather simple, albeit some platforming is required. Within the town, players must identify three unique “towers” and climb to the top of them. The tops of these buildings have unlit braziers, and igniting them all will bring down every barrier in Sellia Town. They aren’t difficult to find, but players must remain alert of their surroundings and cautiously jump across the roofs. Falling from these heights can be fatal, as the town’s ghostly apparitions are capable of quickly annihilating a lower-level player.

One Brazier For Lighting

The greatest area to begin is near the main gate barrier, near the Golden Seed-bearing tree. Players can observe each “tower” from this balcony and devise a strategy to reach them. Because they all need players to platform across rooftops and tree roots, it’s a good idea to come back to this region if they fall. The first barrier is the most accessible from the start, but it also has the most difficult jump, requiring players to negotiate up a twisted tree root. It’s tough to go from the root to the tower on foot, thus players are urged to use Torrent to get there. Moving onto the limb on foot and then calling Torrent immediately before making the jump in question is one of the smartest techniques, as trying to leap onto the tree branch with Torrent can be a bit goofy.

Players will witness a big barrier in the distance (behind the tower) vanish once the first brazier is lighted. If players opt to fight the boss after the first brazier falls, they will be able to do so.

Two And Three-Brazier Lighting

By jumping off the balcony on the left side of the beginning zone and making your way across the roofs to the foot of the first “tower,” you can access the second and third braziers. Although this approach is rather basic and uncomplicated, players should exercise caution when jumping across rooftops, as it is easy to plummet to the street below if a jump is misjudged. Players can climb the ladder and light the second brazier after reaching the bottom before moving on to the third. The third site is visible from the second brazier’s tower, and players can jump across the roofs to reach the third and final tower. All barriers in Sellia Town will vanish when the third brazier is lighted, allowing players to roam wherever they want and steal whatever goods are left laying around.

Snatching Sellia Town’s Hidden Treasures

Players can go to each of the barrier-locked regions once the barriers have collapsed to locate a chest carrying an item. There are three in all, all of which are “tucked away inside a small enclosure,” as shown on the map below. All of these objects are useful and worthy of your attention.

  • The Spelldrake Talisman +1 is ideal for players who are having trouble dealing with magical opponents and bosses.
  • The Imbued Sword Key is required in order to open the sequence of warp gates found in The Four Belfries location. These gates lead to a variety of locations, with one leading to an early game inaccessible area (prior to defeating Starscourge Radahn).
  • The Night Comet sorcery, which blasts a blue missile against opponents, is the final item. This unpleasant spell will be familiar to those who have spent time fighting the enemies in Sellia Town (or Raya Lucaria).
