How To Get The Glaive In Destiny 2. The newest addition for Destiny 2 The Glaive is a brand-new weapon archetype introduced by the Witch Queen. The nature of this weapon as a first-person melee weapon, which clearly distinguishes it from swords, is what makes it distinctive. It also has two firing modes: melee close range and projectile far range.
The initial Glaive also comes with a shield that may be used to block damage. With all of these great characteristics in mind, as well as the fact that Glaives play an important role in the seasonal artefact mods, players will be eager to get their hands on the weapon. In Destiny 2, here’s how to get the Glaive.

Types Of Glaives
In the weeks preceding up to the release of The Witch Queen expansion, Bungie teased many sorts of Glaives. While players will eventually be able to get Exotic Glaives, the first Glaive they will obtain is one that they will create using a relic discovered on Savathun’s ship during the Witch Queen campaign’s first task.
This guide will be updated as additional information on Exotic Glaives becomes available.
How To Get The Enigma Glaive
To obtain the first Legendary Glaive, players must first finish The Witch Queen’s first campaign task. Players enter a strange spacecraft that has appeared on Mars throughout the storey. They will soon come upon a weird black artefact hovering on a pedestal as they advance through the ship. Pick it up by interacting with it.
After returning to the surface of Mars after the conclusion of the mission, players will be directed to the Enclave’s weapon crafting facility. To begin the sequence, make sure that all members of the fireteam are close to the table.
Crafting The Enigma Glaive
Players are taken to the default first screen of weapon building from here. Shaping and Reshaping will be available to players. Shaping allows players to create new weapons from the ground up, while reshaping allows them to change their features and benefits. For the time being, go with the Shaping option.
Now it’s up to the players to choose the weapon they want to Shape. As they uncover additional items to create, more weapons will appear here. For the time being, choose the Enigma Glaive.
The next screen lets players to select all of the Enigma’s benefits one by one. Players must first choose a frame for their Glaive. For the time being, only the Adaptive Glaive frame is available, so players should go with that.
The next step is for players to select their Haft. The Ballistic Tuning Haft and the Low-Impedance Haft are available on the Enigma:
- Increase range, reduce shield duration using Ballistic Tuning Haft. With the Glaive, you can deliver a lot of damage.
- Low-Impedance Haft: Increases shield duration and reload speed marginally, but reduces range. Guardians that enjoy using the shield feature will love this.
Players can now select their preferred magazine type. At the start of the game, the Enigma Glaive has two magazine types:
- When the Alloy Magazine is empty, the Glaive reloaded faster.
- Extended Magazine: Huge magazine size increases, but slower reload speed.
For the Enigma’s first Trait, there is only one possibility. For the time being, choose it in order to continue with the crafting process:
- Tilting At Windmills: The player’s movement speed boosted when blocking with the shield.
Players can choose between Unrelenting and Kill Clip as their second Trait option. This is purely a question of personal preference and playstyle; nevertheless, individuals who enjoy dealing damage will likely choose Kill Clip, while those who value solid sustain will appreciate Unrelenting.

- Unrelenting: Quickly defeating foes causes players’ health to regenerate. Foes with a lot of power counted as multiple enemies. For players who want to boost their sustain, this is a great option.
- When players reload after a kill, their damage enhanced. Players that want to deal harm will enjoy this.
There’s also a Memento socket, but players won’t be able to add anything to it for the time being. To create their brand-new Enigma Glaive, gamers can select the Finalize Shape option on the far right.
Using The Enigma Glaive
The primary firing of the Enigma Glaive activated by pressing M1, while the shield activated by pressing M2 repeatedly. A metre in the centre of the player’s screen slowly depletes when the shield engaged. Players can use melee attacks at close range that do not require Special ammunition.
Enemies that have affected by the Glaive melee assault will turn red over time. This is due to the Enigma’s inherent Psychohack Trait, which will appear on the Enigma Glaive of every player. When players deal damage with their Glaive for a long time, Psychohack kicks in and reduces the damage output of the targeted target. This makes it easier to play the Glaive at close range, even if you don’t have the strongest defensive abilities or attributes.
All Enigma Glaives will be Power weapons that require Special ammo and have a Void element specialisation by default. They wonderful for removing any Void shields, and especially good season with all the benefits Void builds have gotten.
