How To Solve The Daunt Relic Ruins Puzzle In Horizon Forbidden West. Horizon Forbidden West’s world is replete of artefacts and other small items from a fallen civilization, just like its predecessor. The important ones, however, are now known as decorations, and all but one of them must obtained by traversing ancient constructions known as Relic Ruins. There are eight of these ruins in all, the first of which can found between Chainscrape and Barren Light in The Daunt region.
Players can investigate this decaying structure at any time, however most will most likely come upon it when hunting for Erend and the rest of the Vanguard around the start of Horizon Forbidden West’s main campaign. The structure itself is quite massive, making it difficult to overlook, especially because the main quest path passes right by it.

Where to Find the Passcode for The Daunt Relic Ruins
Players will be able to enter the ruin via a collapsed wall to the north of the structure, where they should also locate a moving container. They can get to the second floor by dragging this box into the centre of the first room, where they’ll find a closed door that requires both a key and a four-digit passcode. Unfortunately, both of these objects may only accessed via the adjoining wooden balcony, which is located deeper within the ruins.
Players should use their Focus to scan the purple datapoint on the ground for the passcode after sliding down into the second room, and then use the Pullcaster grappling hook to unlock the vent shaft coming out of the wall above them. On the opposite side of the room, there is a crate that can pulled down with the Pullcaster and then used to obtain access to the vent via the metal hook to its right.
Where to Find the Key for The Daunt Relic Ruins
Players should turn around as soon as they enter the next room and use the Pullcaster to break the wall that connects the second and third rooms. They must next descend into the underground tube and, by hooking onto the blue hook on the ceiling and pulling, make another hole in the earth. It’s just a matter of collecting the crate from the previous chamber, pushing it down the newly constructed hole, and then climbing the yellow-marked wall with it.

After reaching the summit, players will greeted by an Ancient Supply Box on a platform. Another balcony is just to the left of this one, on which players will locate the Hotel Room Key. They can then return to the first room’s locked door, insert the key into the console to the left of the door, and enter the passcode. Players can look for it in the email they scanned earlier in their notebook’s Datapoints section, but if they don’t have the patience, the passcode is 1705.
How to Open the Locked Door in The Daunt Relic Ruins
Players can now enter the Relic Ruins and collect the unique St. Patrick’s Day-themed ornament to complete the Relic Ruins. Unfortunately, people who obtain the ornament during their initial visit to the region will not be able to use it right away. They will, however, receive 5,000 experience points, which will come in handy in the early stages of the game.
