Photo Collectible Locations In Life Is Strange Episode 3. In Life is Strange, there are a lot of hidden collectibles to locate. These optional photo possibilities can be found throughout each episode, with some requiring Max to make specific decisions or the opportunity to capture the shot would be lost.
In Life is Strange, Episode 3: Chaos Theory, there are ten photo collectibles to find. Don’t worry if you missed some; every episode can be replayed in “Collectible Mode” from the main menu to look for missing photo opportunities without affecting prior player decisions. Each image will unlock its own Trophy/Achievement, and once all ten have been discovered, the “Camera Eye” Trophy/Achievement will be unlocked as well.

All Optional Photo Collectible Locations in Episode 3 of Life is Strange
Optional Photo Opportunity 1 – Action Figure (Victoria’s Dorm Room)
To unlock the “Parallax” Trophy/Achievement in Episode 3 of Life is Strange, Max must first find that Victoria is not in her dorm room. To do so, go into the showers and chat with Taylor, or go into Dana’s room and speak with her. If you don’t show sympathy for both of them, they won’t tell Max about Victoria.
After speaking with one of them, take a shot of the glowing action figure to the left of Victoria’s laptop. If Max is unable to take the photo, check in the trash can near the laptop and read the action figure’s box information.
Optional Photo Opportunity 2 – Squirrel (Outside Girls’ Dormitory)
After exiting the dorm, turn right and walk past the steps where Max debated whether to mock Victoria or comfort her. Head toward the distant lights and come to a halt next to the squirrel and fireflies. Next, go back in time as far as you can. Max will be able to photograph the squirrel and earn the “Lenscrafted” Trophy/Achievement as a result.
Players may recall Max capturing a similar photograph of a squirrel while searching for collectible photo opportunities in Life is Strange Episodes 1 and 2.
Optional Photo Opportunity 3 – Fish Tank (Science Classroom)
Head to the same science classroom where players took an optional photo of Warren in Episode 2 of Life is Strange once Max is in Blackwell Academy at night with Chloe. Turn on the light in the fish tank on the opposite side of the entryway. Max can now take a picture in order to unlock “The Reflex” Trophy/Achievement.
Optional Photo Opportunity 4 – Skeleton (Science Classroom)
After taking a photo of the fish tank, make your way to the rear of the science classroom to see a Skeleton smoking a cigarette. Allow Max to take a photo and unlock the “Histogrammar” Trophy/Achievement by getting close enough to reveal the prompt.
Optional Photo Opportunity 5 – Chloe (Principal’s Office)
Chloe will sit in Principal Wells’ chair beside the computer once Max and Chloe enter his office. To get the “Photo” prompt to appear, come near to her. When you take a picture of Chloe, the “Bokeh” Trophy/Achievement will appear. After gathering information, players in Life is Strange must make a crucial decision regarding Chloe’s obligation to Frank.

Optional Photo Opportunity 6 – Mirror (Chloe’s House)
To get this optional photo opportunity, players must wait until Max has changed into Rachel’s attire. Rachel wears this attire at Chloe’s in Life is Strange: Before the Storm. Leave Chloe’s room and go into the bathroom across the hall once Max has been changed. To unlock the “Pinholed” Trophy/Achievement, look in the mirror and take a picture.
Optional Photo Opportunity 7 – Bird (Chloe’s Garden)
To unlock this optional photo, you’ll have to put in some effort. If players make a mistake, they can retry by restarting the checkpoint from the pause menu. To begin, speak with Joyce, who will have varied speech based on whether players chose to blame Chloe or accept responsibility during Episode 1 of Life is Strange. After that, proceed to the tall cabinet adjacent to the garage door. To shoo the bird to the fireplace, press the “Scare” prompt.
Scare the bird at the fireplace once more, and it will fly outdoors as long as the window is open. Walk out into the garden and over to the fence on the other side. Players can now get the “RAW Strength” Trophy/Achievement by taking an optional photo of the bird.
Optional Photo Opportunity 8 – Red Truck (Outside Two Whales Diner)
When Max and Chloe arrive at the Diner, Max will have the opportunity to investigate the area before entering. Speak with the trucker outside the diner’s right-hand entrance about Rachel Amber. If Max tries to photograph his truck again after this, the trucker will yell at her.
Players must go back in time and then speak with the trucker about his vehicle using the new prompt. The “Viewfinder” Trophy/Achievement can now be unlocked by taking an optional photo of the truck.
Optional Photo Opportunity 9 – Dead Bird and Ants (Outside Two Whales Diner)
Go into the alleyway near the trucker after speaking with him. On the left side of the alley, near the diner’s wall, there lies a dead bird surrounded by ants. To get the “Photo” prompt, Max must be very close. Players will receive the “Optician” Trophy/Achievement once the photo has been taken.
Frank will respond differently toward Max while entering the diner, depending on whether she elected to shoot Frank or not during Episode 2 of Life is Strange.
Optional Photo Opportunity 10 – Chloe and Her Dad (Flashback to Chloe’s House)
To unlock the “Flash!” and “Camera Eye” Trophies/Achievements, players must take a photo of Chloe and her father during Max’s flashback. Max will automatically take the photo if you pick up the camera to Chloe’s left. Max’s plot in Life is Strange will drastically change after this scene, although there will still be optional photo opportunities to shoot when playing Episode 4.
Because the 10 photo chances in each episode of Life is Strange are the only optional unlockables in the game, finding them will result in a quick Platinum Trophy or complete Gamerscore.
