How To Unlock Stay Human Saint Joseph Hospital In Dying Light 2. In Techland’s latest video game, Dying Light 2, the Saint Joseph Hospital Safe Code is necessary to finish The First Biomarker Side-Mission.
Unlike the previous Safe Codes we’ve discussed, the Dying Light 2 Stay Human Saint Joseph Hospital Safe Code can only be obtained by completing the accompanying quest, as the puzzle you must solve is provided by the quest giver.
This implies that even if you find the DL2 Saint Joseph Hospital Safe while free-roaming, you won’t be able to unlock it until you start The First Biomarker quest.
Furthermore, the riddle you must solve to obtain the actual Safe Code is more difficult than the one we solved for the Bazaar Tower Safe.

Dying Light 2 The First Biomarker Side Quest Location – How To Start
As previously stated, the first step in obtaining the Dying Light 2 Saint Joseph Hospital Safe Code clue is to begin the accompanying side-quest.
After finishing the Markers of Plague main quest, you can access the First Biomarker quest. Or, if you like, the third storey quest.
Once you’ve done that, open your map and look for McGregor, the quest-giver. As you can see on my map below, he’s in Trinity District.

You’ll also notice that McGregor is west of Alder Windmill on the map.
As you approach this location, look for McGregor on the Trading Post’s roof.
Speak with him and listen carefully to what he has to say.
To be clear, your conversation choices have no bearing on the tale or the benefits you’ll earn. This is a straightforward fetch mission.
The riddle McGregor presents at the end of the exchange, though, is crucial.
And there are three pieces to this conundrum, one for each digit you’ll need to enter the Saint Joseph Hospital Safe, which contains the Biomarker.
At the end of the dialogue, you’ll get an artefact collectible (Safe Code – A note from Dr. Katsumi containing a riddle).
It’s accessible from the game’s menu. To see the notice, go to the Collectables tab. It is divided into three sections, as previously stated:
- What becomes smaller when you turn it upside down
- An odd number – take away a letter and it becomes even

DL2 Saint Joseph Hospital Safe Location – Where To Find
As you might expect, this safe is located within Saint Joseph Hospital, which is located on the northern edge of Houndfield District.
On my map below, you can see the exact location.
On the map above, you can also see how to get inside Saint Joseph Hospital in Dying Light 2.
Basically, all you have to do is go to the spot on my map and check for a bus like the one in the accompanying screenshot while on the ground.
Now get on the bus and turn right to get into the hospital.
You’ll have to fight/avoid several Infected in the first chamber depending on when you arrive (day/night).
What happens next is entirely up to you, but you must take the path to the left.
Some ledges may be found on the left side of the following room (pictured below).
You’ll reach a balcony if you grab them, pull yourself up, and walk on the ramp.
To get outdoors, turn right and step on the next ledge.
Turn right once outside, then right again on the other side of the balcony to enter the hospital.
Cross the chamber on the left side, then return to the outdoors via the next balcony.
Climb to the second storey and around the corner to find a damaged window that allows you to access the second floor (pictured).
You’ll be inside Dr. Katsumi’s office on the upper floor, and on the other side, you’ll see the Dying Light 2 Saint Joseph Hospital Safe.

Dying Light 2 Saint Joseph Hospital Safe – How To Open
Dr. Katsumi’s problem is pretty simple to solve because it includes several word riddles. They each provide a digit.
Here’s how to deal with it:
- First digit: What becomes smaller when you turn it upside down – The answer is 9 because when you turn it upside down, it becomes 6
- Second digit: An odd number – take away a letter and it becomes even – The answer is 7 because if you take away the letter S it becomes the word even
- Third digit: A little girl goes to the store and buys one dozen eggs. As she is going home, all but three egss break. How many eggs are left unbloken? – The answer is 3 because all but three eggs break
You’ll need to use the code 973 to open the Dying Light 2 Stay Human Saint Joseph Hospital Safe and obtain the first Biomarker.
Now approach the Safe and turn to the wheel with the left thumbstick until you see the proper digit in the field at the bottom.
