There is one item that everyone agrees on: it’s tough. It’s a roguelike game in which players must maximise. The value of their runs in order to start the next level as well-equipped and as youthful as possible.
Another crucial feature of Sifu is managing age (which increases when players die); conquering Sean and the Club at the age of 70 is not helpful in terms of defeating Sifu. However, here are some helpful hints for players who are having trouble with Sifu’s second level. The Club, and its boss, Sean the Fighter.

Sifu: A Few Pointers on Getting Around The Club
Players should strive to finish The Club around the age of 35. Albeit sooner is ideal, in terms of age management and being prepared enough to beat Sifu. Players should play The Club frequently enough to stay under this limit. Here are some things to bear in mind when playing The Club level in terms of gameplay:
- Don’t worry about beating The Club until players unlock the Disciple’s Pass from Sean’s Disciple. This will make clearing it much more manageable.
- Players should try to avoid dying until after defeating. The First Dancer (after clearing the first big mob in the club). This will reduce their death count and help them finish the level.
- Weapon Durability (Age requirement of 24 or less) should be one of Sifu’s shrines’ most important skills.
- Always be prepared with a weapon. They’re in abundance in the Club, so preserve the Baseball bat from the second bout to use in the third. There is a hidden bat in the corner of the room with the second shrine. Where one of the opponents is stretching (pictured below).
- If at all feasible, carry the Staff from its presentation to Sean.
How To Prepare For Sean, Sifu
After beating down every single person in their route to Sean, the gamers will enter a little dojo. A Shrine can be found immediately to the right, as seen in the photo above. To purchase the Death Counter reset item, players should save their experience up to this point.
Players are sure to lose no matter how well they perform against Sean, so starting with zero deaths is a huge advantage. If they’ve made it this far in a Sifu run with only one death, go ahead and buy another skill. However, if there are two or more people, this is the best solution. Sean The Fighter will take the stage next.
How To Defeat Sean The Fighter, Sifu (Phase One)
As with most bosses in Sifu, the ultimate boss has two stages. This preliminary stage will take place in the little dojo. If the players no longer have a staff, they should acquire one as soon as they enter Sean’s room. Sean is stronger and more difficult to defeat, but he also follows a distinct pattern that players need consider when planning their strategy.
In this fight, players should stay on the defence and avoid fighting Sean aggressively in Sifu. Players should instead hold down the Block button and wait for his combos. There are two main combos: one that concludes with a vertical downward attack and another that consists of three parts and ends with a forceful overhead spin of his staff.

Although the vertical downward strike combo is more difficult to foresee, dodging back is the greatest option in this situation. It’s possible that simply dodging downward will cause the attack to miss, but players should be aware of the combo he’s executing.
Accept or deal with these combos as necessary, however it’s recommended to dodge back then dodge downward for Sean’s spinning combos as he charges. It’ll be a sequence of avoiding his charge three times and then dodging downward.
Players may score an easy combination on him after his massive overhear spin attack, and they should focus on strong attacks (Triangle on PS5)—if they use a staff, they have the advantage of occasionally sweeping him. This increases damage, but players should not overdo it. Sean’s first phase may be defeated by repeating this pattern of avoiding and then launching a powerful attack combo (as seen above).
Another item to pay attention to are concentration attacks. Players should employ the Sweep Focus Attack as often as possible against Sean’s initial phase to get easy additional damage.
Sean: How To Defeat The Fighter Sean (Phase Two)
Players are likely to lose their weapon early in the second phase. This indicates that players will have to cope with Sean without a weapon, and that they should save their concentration for the second half of the phase.
To beat Sean at this point, the basic strategy is to dodge his combos, duck the enormous spin attack, and then execute a powerful combo. Sean will also use a low-sweeping attack, which is an issue. Because it doesn’t do much damage, players should try to dodge it by dodging up each time, but Sean WILL score hits with these. Players shouldn’t be concerned if they can’t handle the strike’s unpredictable nature; if they can block or avoid Sean’s other attacks, this minor amount of damage won’t make or break the battle. If swept, players should roll out of the way as quickly as possible.
Patience is essential in both phases of Sifu’s combat and in defeating Sean. However, while watching Sean’s manoeuvres, gamers should keep an eye out for the overheard pole twirl combo and then do damage. Players should keep an eye on Sean’s health metre, as he will catch fire at half-health, becoming more aggressive and unstable.
The Fighter Sean
At this moment, players should sweep Sean with their concentrate attacks to deal extra damage. Otherwise, they’ll have to keep an eye out for Sean’s low attack and wait for his big combinations to end (he has others than the two aforementioned here, but when he lingers in place, that is the time to strike).
Sean will rush forward in this mode, conduct one or two attacks, back up, rush forward, and repeat. Regardless of Sean’s increased pressure, players should concentrate on avoiding, waiting for the combo to expire, then hitting when Sean opens himself up. Players will eventually deplete his health until he is defeated.
Sean is a much easier opponent to kill in Sifu than he appears at first. It may take a few tries, and players will die a few times due to Sean and Sifu’s difficulty, but once they nail Sean’s patterns, he’s a much easier boss to beat than he appears. To advance and be prepared for the next Sifu level, The Museum, players should beat him before they reach the age of 35.
Sifu is now available for PC and PlayStation 5.
