How To Get Cleffa In Pokemon Legends Arceus. In Pokemon Legends: Arceus, baby Pokemon are among the most difficult to locate and capture. Cleffa is no exception, with its evolved forms, Clefairy and Clefable, being far more common.
Fortunately, with the appropriate instruction, finding and capturing a Cleffa to complete that Pokedex won’t be too difficult. Head to the Coronet Highlands with some Stealth Spray and a few Poke Balls. In Pokemon Legends: Arceus, here’s how you catch Cleffa and how to evolve it.

Cleffa Location in Pokemon Legends: Arceus
The Coronet Highlands, notably the Fabled Spring, is the only site in the game where Cleffa may be found. This location is located in the southwest corner of the map, directly south of Summit Camp.
Cleffa and its evolutionary ancestors only spawn at night, so if it isn’t currently evening, stay at the camp until it is. Fortunately, the weather has no bearing. So long as it’s night, they’ll appear in any weather.
Then go down to the Fabled Spring and watch for the swarms of Clefairy that should be swarming the blooms on both sides of the river. There’s a significant chance there’ll be an alpha Clefable as well.
Cleffa is much more uncommon than these two, so it may take a few visits before you see one. Returning to Jubilife Village and then returning to the Fabled Spring will reset the spawning. Always make sure it’s nighttime!
Watch for a large outbreak if finding this rare spawn via the traditional approach proves too tough. Cleffa can arise at the Fabled Spring as a result of a huge epidemic. When this occurs, the guard at the gate will alert you.
After spotting a Cleffa, the player can easily sneak up on it by crouching, using Stealth Spray or Smoke Bombs, hiding in the forest, and/or luring it in with food. Cleffa enjoys Honey Cakes and Dazzling Honey. Because Cleffa is wary and may flee if it notices the player, it’s better to use stealth and fast Poke Ball throws.
Alternatively, a Pokemon can be sent out to battle Cleffa. Rather than risking it fainting or fleeing, it’s a smart idea to throw a Poke Ball right away from here.

Evolving Cleffa
To evolve their newly caught Cleffa, players must first gain its favour. Many Pokemon, including Cleffa, can only evolve if their friendship level is high enough. To evolve, Cleffa requires a friendship rating of 220 or above, and it can only do so at night.
There are a few ways to increase friendship in Pokemon Legends: Arceus:
- Keep Cleffa in the party and battle with it often
- Try not to let it faint; winning battles awards more friendship points
- Let Cleffa harvest resources in the field
- Feed EXP Candies and Rare Candies to Cleffa
When Cleffa is ready to evolve and the time has passed, go to its page in the menu and evolve it. It will require a Moon Stone to evolve into Clefable.
Checking Friendship in Pokemon Legends: Arceus
Trainer and Pokemon friendship can be tested quite easily, but the Trainer must first complete a special mission.
After you’ve calmed Kleavor down, speak with Belamy. In Jubilife Village, he can be found near the Pastures. In a request labelled “Measuring Your Compatibility,” he’ll ask to witness a strong link between a Trainer and their Pokemon. Once you’ve established a strong bond with him, he’ll start offering his friendship rating services.
