How To Capture The Birch Windmill In Dying Light 2.Following the tutorial, players are granted complete control over the map. Those who choose to travel west rather than east should use Birch Windmill as a base.
After Dying Light 2’s initial tutorial portion, Hakon is not so subtle in encouraging Aiden to head east. The primary mission is marked on the map in that route, and players that go that way will be alright. What about the explorers, though? Who, in such a large world, does what they are instructed rather than gathering treasures?
The curious will be rewarded in Dying Light 2. Those who travel west instead will find boss fights and inhibitor storage facilities close by. They will, however, require a base of operations from which to strike, and their best option is to rely on the ability to seize Birch Windmill.
The Birch Windmill’s Location
The most efficient, economical, safe, and repeatable method for restoring immunity is to unlock a location with a UV light. Because Birch Windmill cannot be offered to a faction until later in the game, this is the major reason to take it in the early rounds.
The windmill is located on Houndfield’s centre west side, directly west of Aiden’s location when he is finally free to do whatever he wants. Look for it in the skyline, and underneath it are two moving motors. To climb to the top, you’ll have to do some major acrobatics.
Traversing To The Top
Those who get a lot of parkour experience quickly will have more stamina and talents, allowing them to make a lot of blunders on their way to the top. However, most gamers will have to save every ounce of energy they have and plan their jumps carefully at this point.
The goal appears simple: jump onto the lower mechanism from the bottom platform, then turn around and jump onto the second mechanism, and lastly leap onto the platform towards the top. The problem here is one of timing. In the time it takes the bottom mechanism to complete two cycles, the top mechanism completes one. When the mechanisms are out of sync, players should notice and respond quickly to ensure that timing isn’t a concern.
There is no timing from here, yet the manoeuvre is no less terrifying. Aiden should fall straight down on the trash bags below if he should stumble at any point. Turn around and you’ll see a yellow-painted beam affixed to another platform. Climb the ladder and then shimmy up it.
Aiden will claim Birch Mindmill as his own if you fix the fusebox at the top, which you may do with other windmills. After nightfall, sleep, organise supplies, and enjoy the safety of UV lights.
Dying Light 2 was released on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC on February 4th, 2022.
