How To Capture Alder Windmill In Dying Light 2 Gamers will finally be free to explore the vast landscape after receiving the binoculars from Hakon in Dying Light 2. That involves discovering new things, and the Alder Windmill is one of the nearest intriguing landmarks.
It may appear appealing, but catching the windmill is far more difficult than it appears. There’s a puzzle here that, while not particularly long, introduces a mechanic that Dying Light 2 gamers haven’t encountered before. Mastering and timing this new movement is required to capture the windmill.
Locating The Alder Windmill
Many sites of interest may be triangulated with binoculars, but players will be on the lookout for the nearest windmill. It’s in the next district over, but Dying Light 2 players will quickly understand that the distinction between these zones isn’t crucial.
It’s directly east of St. Joseph’s Hospital (which, without extra parkour levels, can’t be thoroughly explored). Players may come across a Dead Island Easter egg or essential items along the journey. If the journey gets too tough, rest at the Nightrunner’s Hideout and return the next morning.
Traversing To The Top
There is a moving mechanism that goes up and down when you arrive at the windmill, but it is out of reach even with the best parkour techniques. On the side, there is a ‘X’ that normally indicates a safe landing area. This location, however, is unique in that it also serves as a trampoline.
When the trampoline reaches its lowest point, jump and grip onto the moving mechanism. Aiden should stand up and take a big breath; there is no need to rush towards the following step. When it comes to the stamina metre, it’s better to be careful than sorry because the decline here is steep.
Turn completely around and face the trampoline’s direction. Jump across the mechanism at the top and sing onto the yellow-painted board.
Pull over to the right and look for a ladder. Ascend it.
A yellow electrical box will be visible from here. Alder Windmill will be captured if you approach it and interact with it. In addition, gamers will finally have access to a trader and another resting spot. As UV lights grow more sparse, Aiden will need to use this as a stepping stone to explore the rest of the city.
