Console Graphics Modes In Dying Light 2.On consoles, Dying Light 2 has three graphical settings. This guide will clarify the differences.
Many games have offered players the ability to alter visuals and performance since the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X released as improved versions of the last-gen devices. With the PS5 and Xbox Series X, this trend continued, giving players even more graphic fidelity for their money. While it come close to providing the same kind of performance flexibility that PC gamers used to, it still a wonderful method to give players more control over framerates, resolution, and other aspects of the game.
Dying Light 2 is no exception, with three different graphical presets available to gamers. On last-generation and current-generation platforms, the game looks fantastic. This most likely due to the fact that Dying Light 2 designed with last-generation devices in mind in order to avoid a repetition of Cyberpunk 2077’s launch. Despite this, Techland’s creators have worked hard to ensure that the game’s users have a strong and consistent experience at launch. This article will explain the differences between the graphical modes in Dying Light 2 on previous and current consoles.

Explanation Of Dying Light Graphics Modes
Mode Of Resolution
On current-gen consoles, selecting Resolution Mode in the graphics settings will lock the frame rate to 30fps while maximising the visual clarity to obtain as near to 4K resolution as possible. The upgraded last-gen consoles have a lower resolution and no dynamic scalability than the performance mode, but the clarity and visuals are much better and look decent overall. While the character models in Dying Light 2 still appear to be last-gen, they are noticeably crisper in this setting.

Performance Mode
The Performance Mode in Dying Light 2 compromises the high quality by lowering it to regular HD 1080p, but it locks in at a very smooth 60 frames per second. This means that players will experience a more responsive game with notable stability improvements. This improves the feel and play of the Parkour sequences, giving the protagonist’s movement more authenticity. This mode may be beneficial for those that appreciated the 60fps performance of the original game via backward compatibility on the PS4 Pro, Xbox One X, and current-gen platforms.
Quality Mode
The ray-traced shadows and lighting are the focus of the Quality Mode option. Unfortunately, Quality Mode is only available to PlayStation 5 and Xbox One X owners. With this graphic option, even the Xbox Series S left out in the cold. It’s a shame, given other games have demonstrated that the Series S is capable of producing enhanced ray-traced images.
Quality Mode keeps the resolution at 1080p and the framerate at 30fps, but the shadows and lighting effects have increased. Despite the reduced resolution, the ray-tracing effects are extremely attractive to the eye and provide a significant increase over the performance mode. It’s most evident at night or when the sun shines through the windows at specific periods of the day.
On the PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, Dying Light 2 Stay Human is now available.
