How To Get The True Ending In Death’s Door

How to Get the True Ending In Death’s Door.Acid Punk’s Death’s Door, like its predecessor Titan Souls, has a secret true ending, but finding it is a quest in and of itself.

Death’s Door by Acid Punk is a large, secret-filled game. Death’s Door, like its predecessor Titan Souls, features a second real ending concealed underneath the conventional one. Death’s Door’s scope is far greater than Titan Souls’, and the path to the genuine conclusion is far more complicated.

Getting the genuine ending route in Titan Souls was a rather simple undertaking. There were no hidden regions or puzzles; the players simply had to slay every boss.

With Death’s Door’s genuine ending route, things aren’t so straightforward. Getting the genuine ending here necessitates navigating a whole new alternate version of the map and achieving entirely new goals.

Beginning The True Ending Journey Of Death’s Door

It’s vital to note that Death’s Door’s genuine ending is effectively an epilogue, not an alternate ending. The player must first obtain the normal ending.

After defeating the final enemy and watching the credits, the player will treated to a bonus scenario in which the boss’s body hauled out of the Hall of Doors and a rusted key left behind. After reloading their save, the player can go there and pick it up.

Players may note that some of the doors in the hall of doors have taken on a red colour. This is a tool to help you finish the task. A red door indicates that there is still something to discover in the region.

To obtain the genuine ending in Death’s Door, players don’t have to get every single upgrade. It will, however, make some subsequent obstacles easier.

Finding The New Objective With The Rusty Key

The rusted key opens the bell tower at the Lost Cemetery’s northern end, near the Urn Witch’s estate entrance. To ring the bell, climb the tower and hit it. Every map will change from day to night as a result of this.

While some parts remain the same, most maps have additional areas and stronger adversaries in the night versions. Players can only find the keys to the genuine ending in the night maps: The Seven Tablets of Knowledge from Antiquity.

Gathering The Ghosts

The closest available tablet will be in the Lost Cemetery once the day has turned to night. Seven crimson ghosts are among the new foes, and they steadily follow the player. Despite their frightening look, they are incapable of doing any harm.

A key-hole-headed statue embedded in a wall stands beside each ghost. The player must either let each ghost to follow them or move them with their sword to a comparable statue.

The closed door at the map’s southernmost point will unlock once all seven ghosts have captured. It may accessed by utilising the hook shot on the anchors at the Grove of Spirits’ entrance. The first tablet will bfound within.

Hunting Down The Owls

Players may hear a distant hooting noise when exploring the redesigned versions of each place. This isn’t just atmospheric sound design; it also an indication as to where the next tablet might found.

Hooting indicates an owl, and the Estate of the Urn Witch, the Overgrown Ruins, and the Old Watchtowers all have a gigantic white one waiting for you. Each time the player finds a tablet fragment, the owl will offer it to them.

On the bridge east of the mansion’s entrance, the Estate’s owl can spotted. The owl of the Ruins can be located in the abandoned town where the player first discovered the horn. Finally, on the map’s northeast part, the Watchtower owl can found at the end of the long curving ice route.

A Hidden Tomb And A Green Thumb

A family mausoleum stands towards the middle of the Estate of the Urn Witch, in front of a checkerboard of Death’s Door’s breakable urns. The tomb will open if the player fractures five of them in a specific order.

The code can found inside the mansion. There is a brazier in the first hallway to the right of the stairs, but no fire to light it. It can only lit once the player has unlocked the fireball spell from Death’s Door.

When the brazier lit, a secret stairway to the rafters revealed, which conceals an ancient photograph. A graphic on the back of an image shows which pots to shatter.

Another lockable door inside the family tomb conceals a tablet. It won’t work until the player has planted a life seed in each pot, so make sure you’ve explored every inch of Death’s Door’s universe.

The Last Chest Of Avarice

The player may have observed a partially submerged green chest beside the entrance gate when they first visited the Overgrown Ruins in the main quest. While it is inaccessible during the day, the water level drops at night, making entry much easier.

There’s no trick or puzzle here; just a long-drawn-out battle. Players should acquire all of Death’s Door’s vitality crystals because they’ll need the health. The next tablet is the prize for winning the fight.

An Octopus Adventure

The most stunning twist in Death’s Door is that the nice restaurant owner Jefferson is actually an octopus driving a corpse, rather than a human. This secret can discovered by visiting The Stranded Sailor late at night.

Jefferson pledges to show the player a secret in the Flooded Fortress in exchange for keeping his secret. He clings to the player’s back, and they must guide him there without using Death’s Door’s Hall of Doors to speed up the journey. He’ll show the player a hidden route that leads to another tablet once they’ve entered the fortress.

The Old Watchtowers Run The Length of The Road

The player may observe that the wind isn’t blowing when visiting the Old Watchtowers at night. It’s a minor detail, but it’s critical in obtaining the hidden tablet in this region.

There six torches hidden throughout the levels, placed on various walls. The wind would put out the fireballs if the player tried to use the fireball spell during the day. They will, however, remain lit throughout the night.

When all six torches have lit, a northeast door lined with braziers will open, providing players with another tablet.

Putting To Rest The Gravedigger

The Gravedigger mentions burying their companion under the moonlight in the Lost Graveyard during the day. Now that night has fallen, the player can search for the burial site.

It’s at the area right before the boss fight with Betty, at the top of the old watchtowers. A staircase off to the side obscured by breakable ice crystals. A hidden platform awaits you up the stairwell, with a door that only opens at night and a grave and enigmatic locket inside.

When the player returns to the Gravedigger’s section in Lost Graveyard, the mausoleum is now open. Inside, the gravedigger is waiting. Giving him the locket will force him to cry out in anguish, triggering the final boss battle in Death’s Door.

The gravedigger is a tricky character. He not only pursues the player, but also summons waves of normal foes to battle alongside him. Players should ensure that they have access to all of Death’s Door’s tools.

The Game Is coming To An End

Return to the Camp of Free Crows once the player has collected all seven tablets. The tablets will fill in the gaps on the back wall, creating a new space. A new ending cutscene will play once you’re inside. The ending shocker of Death’s Door may not be as startling as the Jefferson reveal, but it is sure to please Acid Punk enthusiasts.

Death’s Door is currently available for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
