Play Call Of Duty Warzone On PS5. Jason Schreier of Bloomberg appears to have disclosed the release date for Call Of Duty: Warzone 2. Apart from the confirmation of a “new iteration of Call of Duty Warzone” — with a focus on current-gen and PC. According to other insiders — it and the mainline Call of Duty 2022 and 2023 games may also coming to PlayStation. But the series could become Xbox exclusive after that, as GameRevolution predicted previously.
Will Call Of Duty: Warzone 2 Be An Xbox Exclusive?
Despite Activision Blizzard’s recent acquisition by Microsoft. Call of Duty: Warzone 2 will not be an Xbox exclusive and will be available on PlayStation as well. However, Warzone 2 will most likely be a current-gen system-exclusive title. Meaning it will only be available on the PS5, Xbox One, and PC, not the PS4, Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch.

According to a Bloomberg article, Jason Schreier spoke with four sources “with knowledge of the [Microsoft] deal” who confirmed that the next three Call of Duty games will not be Xbox exclusives. That means Call of Duty 2022, 2023, and Warzone 2, which is due out next year. Will all be available on PlayStation. “Plans for the Call of Duty games hazier after 2023” thus Call of Duty. 2024 and future iterations of Warzone could Xbox exclusive. Microsoft may not reveal its plans for the franchise. As well as other important Activision Blizzard titles like Overwatch 2, until the merger closes next year.
Insider Tom Henderson claims that Warzone 2 will a current-gen game. That wholly unique from the first Warzone, therefore nothing will carried over. Considering what players have unlocked thus far in Warzone, this isn’t likely to be the case.
When Call Of Duty: Warzone 2 Released?
Call of Duty Warzone 2 expected to released in March 2023, possibly in the spring or summer of that year. The first Warzone released in March 2020 and a huge hit. So Activision will most certainly want to replicate that success with the sequel.
