How To Make Scaffolding In Minecraft Without Bamboo. Minecraft is primarily a building game, and when you’re working on your next project, you may want to make things easier on yourself by constructing a base structure. This is referred to as scaffolding, a relatively new building block that can be used as a framework for manoeuvring while building. If you’re not sure how to create this useful block, our easy-to-follow step-by-step guide will walk you through the process.

Creating Scaffolding
To construct scaffolding in Minecraft, you’ll need bamboo. This resource is only found in Jungle biomes, but it can be quickly grown once discovered. Once you’ve obtained your bamboo, string six of them together to create scaffolding!
Find Bamboo
This is the most difficult step, as you may not be in close proximity to a jungle biome. If not, you’ll need to do some exploring. Tame a horse or seize an elytra and navigate the map. While finding a bamboo jungle would be ideal, any jungle biome will spawn some bamboo. Once you’ve located a biome, simply search the area for at least one bamboo growth and harvest it. Return it to your base and plant it in some dirt. You’ll discover that it’s quite easy to farm, as it’s the fastest growing plant in the game!

Get String
String is fairly common; it can be obtained by killing spiders found throughout the map or by killing mobs at night when they spawn in the dark. If you’re near a badlands biome, you can find a mine with plenty of cobwebs to break. Mines spawn randomly throughout the world; they are just more prevalent in the badlands. Finally, you can loot chests that occasionally contain string.
Make Scaffolding
Once you have gathered all of the ingredients, all that remains is to combine them. Vertically align three bamboo on each side of your Crafting Table, and then one string across the top of the middle set of blocks. This will result in the creation of six scaffolding pieces that you can use!
Scaffolding Uses
Scaffolding enables you to easily climb through it by simply holding the jump button. Each scaffolding piece you place stacks on top of the previous one. Which enables you to stack as high as you want up to the build limit. Additionally, you can easily deconstruct the entire scaffolding by breaking any part of it, which will destroy the scaffolding above it!
When attempting to place scaffolding horizontally on another piece of scaffolding, you must press the sneak button. Otherwise, the height of your scaffolding will continue to grow!
