Battlefield 2042 Review. In the two decades of Battlefield history, we have seen many ups and downs of this special shooting program. 1942 Battlefield, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, and Battlefield 3 were truly spectacular, thrilling games; Battlefield 4 was a good entry that was attacked by a catastrophic launch, and Battlefield 1 and V Vs were mostly talented games with no spark of real size. Agree that Battlefield: Hardline was one big flop of the series. Highly integrated with the multi-player BF signature, it loses its real Battlefield identity in the process of transmitting it to the Call of Duty audience. It has been greatly forgotten now and for good reason. Right now, Battlefield 2042 is asking him to grab his beer.
The Battlefield 2042 disaster will soon be a thing of the past. These latest installments are bad for reasons that will not work in the future, without the necessary repairs to all of its systems. The launch of Battlefield 4 was a bit of a nightmare, but the game took off a lot of energy, appearing after a few months of hard adjustment. Battlefield 2042 shines nothing but strange, mysterious despair.

Worse than Hardline?
Where to start? From limited modes to launch? Completion of classes? Absolute lack of any PC version setting? Eternal delay in the win mode? No server browser? No score board or maths page? Lack of combat response? Overpowered cars? Too long to kill? Outstanding maps? Maybe from a common sense of fatigue, uninspired fullness in almost every aspect of it? This is a Battlefield game made by people who have never played previous games or have no knowledge of the history of the series. The shortage of one-player campaigns will never reach the list of all that is wrong with it.
Do not play it on PC
If you decide to play BF2042 on a PC, dragging, and lag will be problems that will cover everything else. I had played the game on a rig with the ability to fit the Nvidia RTX 3080, and it struggles like hell at 1440p on high set. Lowering the resolution to 1080p and working with the settings did not make much difference. Framerate drops did not change even in the lower settings, not helping at all the unexplained flaws that made my Victory / Divination moments so much fun. Among other things, lag prevented the normal use of closed launchers, which serve as intended from time to time.
Like cars they need any extra help. They are faster than ever, and some, like helicopters, have been made more lethal (which is the only exception to the gadgets, now useless in some way). There is also the problem of issuing a combat response, as shooting a car only informs you whether you have crashed it or not, without showing any damage.
They are finishing classes
The real elephant in the concept room is the absence of classes. Historically, with the exception of Battlefield 1, which had five classes, most Battlefield games DESCRIBED by the sacred quaternity of attack, medicine, engineer, and scout. Now, they’re all gone. Instead, we have a variety of named professionals who equipped with any loading, with the exception of compact materials. Looking for a sniper rifle that can shoot arrows into the air? No problem, guvnor! The EA and Dice decided to lend freely to Call of Duty, something no one asked them to do. Each of these craftsmen offers one unique gadget or skill, but since both sides can freely choose between them, it creates the possibility of great confusion at the same time.
13 maps / 4 routes / 60 dollars
Game modes are my next gripe. The game divided into three main sections – All-out War consists of Winning and Winning, Hazard Zone single mode inspired by Hunt: Showdown and Escape from Tarkov, and Portal a free form mode played in the previous series. That is, thirteen maps, four main mods for sixty dollars, and the promise of the next content update in Q1 2022. For PC and new consoles, Conquest and Breakthrough has great maps designed for 128 players. In fact, they are much larger and better suited to play the role of a strong ARMA than a standard multiplayer shooting game. They not surprising and most feel like they designed by a committee that busy marking boxes instead of chasing inspiration.
In theory, Hazard Zone is interesting. It joins seven of four teams and AI troops in search of fallen satellites. You have to retrieve their drives and take them out with a helicopter, fighting AI and other players along the way. But you have to work as a team and connect with others, a task that is impossible without the built-in voice columns. Ping pings are not enough for a strategic discussion of the fly, of course, and typing, of course, so 1993. It would much better if it could played alone or with one partner.
I’m not angry anymore
The only redemptive feature of Battlefield 2042 is Portal mode. Responds to the old call for a formal change of BF experience. But instead of the right mod tools, it offers Portal Experience Builder, a simple web builder that anyone can use to build or edit several maps and routes from Battlefield 1942, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, and Battlefield 3. Modified content displayed in a new duplication of the Frostbite engine, which gives the old ones like Rush on Arica Harbor from Bad Company 2 a new look. There is a server browser in Portal mode, so in an instant, Battlefield 2042 almost sounds like a good game. But the spelling cannot stay as nostalgia inevitably ends as you feed for a while.
I don’t know what space they were trying to fill with Battlefield 2042, but oh my, they completely missed the point. The game is a half, unplanned chaos that could have benefited greatly in one more year of development. I’m not saying it could help it become a fast-paced classic or over-the-top game, but now it will take a lot of effort to prevent it from becoming a real pariah series.
