How to Fix the Apex Legends “Party Not Ready” Error
This error message will appear while you are waiting in Apex Legends’ lobby screen. It will notify you that you are unable to join the game because your party is not yet ready, so you will be stuck staring at the screen.
This can happen even if you’re trying to play solo, making it one of the game’s most frustrating errors. The good news is that there are a few different solutions to this problem.
Restart the game or reconnect to the lobby.
The simplest solution is to quit the game and then restart it. You’ll then be thrown right into a match without having to deal with this problem. If you still get this message while in a party, it could be because one of the members isn’t ready.
You could try leaving the party and rejoining it if you want to speed things up. This way, you won’t have to wait for them before you can join the game.
Here’s what you need to do:
- Press the menu/options button or Settings cog wheel in the Apex Legends lobby screen
- Click the bottom-left of the screen to return to menu shown in the bottom-left of the screen
- Once you’re back at the title screen, try joining again
Examine your Internet connection.
If your Internet connection is down, you may also experience this issue. So, try restarting your router and seeing if the “Party not ready” error persists in the game.
Here’s what you need to do:
- Boot up Apex Legends and enter the lobby screen.
- Attempt to queue and wait for the “Party not ready” error.
- Reboot your WIFI/router while still in-game.
- Wait to reconnect to Apex Legends.
- The issue should be resolved!
If one of these solutions works, a checkmark will appear next to your username above your Legend. Hopefully, one of these methods will work and you will no longer receive the “Party not ready” error message.
