Minecraft: How To Breed Pandas

Minecraft: How To Breed Pandas Minecraft players are often looking for livestock such as cows, pigs and sheep. Because these mobs are an excellent source of material. But besides these creatures, Minecraft also offers many other animals that can be captured and collected for fun.

Some of these animals are very difficult to obtain, especially for pandas. Pandas, which are not one of the traditionally tamed mobs in Minecraft, are difficult to find and at the same time difficult to breed. This guide is useful for Minecraft players who want to find and increase their panda population.

Where to find pandas in Minecraft

Pandas are relatively rare and are produced in the Jungle Biome, one of the best biomes for survival playthroughs in Minecraft. Unfortunately, the biome itself is also difficult to find, making this hunt even more difficult. In both the Bedrock and Java editions of the game, the only player option to find a panda is to explore this biome world.

Among the various variations of the jungle, the player’s best bet is to find a bamboo jungle to increase the chances of finding a panda. These are easily distinguishable from other areas due to the large amount of bamboo. This variant of the jungle biome is most likely to spawn pandas in both the Java and Bedrock editions. For successful panda hunting, players must search the entire area and carry bamboo.

How to breed pandas in Minecraft

Pandas differ from other Minecraft animals in that they must meet certain conditions before they can actually breed. A panda needs at least 8 bamboo blocks within a 5 block radius of both pandas to enter breeding mode. If this condition is not met, feeding the panda will cause the pair to sit and eat bamboo.

Fortunately, if the player finds the pandas in the bamboo forest, then this requirement is likely to be easily met, where the player can feed the pair of pandas to breed them. If the player prefers to breed in the base, they only need to plant enough bamboo around the panda. As with other animals, when the heart starts to radiate from the mob, the player will know that reproduction has begun.

Similar to horse breeding in Minecraft, different combinations of pandas will produce different offspring. Pandas have different personalities, which can be seen from the panda’s face:

  • Normal pandas: frowning face
  • Lazy pandas: smiling face
  • Worried pandas: wide puppy-dog eyes
  • Playful pandas: tongue sticking out
  • Aggressive pandas: frowning eyebrows
  • Weak pandas: teary eyes
  • Brown pandas: appear brown and white.
