How To Get Eevee In Pokemon Brilliant Diamond And Shining Pearl. Eevee has grown in popularity among Pokemon fans over the years. Although its cute looks and vast evolution potential won over trainers, it took a few generations before Game Freak released it in the wild. Eevee is once again restricted by a few in-game requirements in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
Those who have played Pokemon Platinum may be able to obtain Eevee as early as Hearthome City. Trainers in Diamond and Pearl required the National Dex before they could add Eevee to their team. Unfortunately for some, Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl both use this method. That is, Eevee will not be available until a significant portion of BDSP’s main storey has concluded.
Completing the Sinnoh Dex is the first step toward obtaining Eevee. See (but do not catch) every Pokemon in the game before speaking with Professor Rowan to obtain the National Dex and PokeRadar.
Fortunately, players do not need to trade the legendary exclusives in order to add them to their Pokedex. To register Palkia (Brilliant Diamond) or Dialga, speak with Cynthia’s grandmother in Celestic Town (Shining Pearl). Other version-specific Pokemon, such as Shining Pearl’s Misdreavous/Mismagius and Brilliant Diamond’s Murkrow/Honchkrow, can be “seen” by battling NPCs like Team Galactic.
With the National Dex at the ready, Fly to Hearthome City and enter the house right next to the Pokemon Center. Speak to Bebe, and she’ll hand over the keys.
Obtaining More Eevees
If players want to breed more Eevees, they must take this Eevee to the Daycare and breed it with a Ditto. If players are patient enough, they can Shiny Hunt Eevee from hatching Eggs through breeding.

They’ll need 6 Eevees in total to get all of the Eevee evolutions in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. Vaporeon, Jolteon, and Flareon can be obtained by using evolution stones. Players will need to increase their Eevee’s friendship with Espeon and Umbreon. Leafeon and Glaceon, unlike in Sword & Shield, cannot be evolved using evolution stones. Eevee must instead level up in specific areas around Sinnoh to obtain Leafeon and Glaceon.
Players are unable to obtain Eevee’s Fairy-type evolution, Sylveon, because Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl have blocked access to Pokemon from Generation 5 onwards. Sylveon will not be available unless BDSP releases a method (DLC) of expanding the National Dex beyond Arceus.
