Netflix Gaming Service Is Now Available For Android Netflix announced earlier this year that it would enter the gaming market with a streaming service before the end of 2021, and not long after, confirmed that the service’s initial steps would be taken in the mobile space. That is now becoming a reality.
Netflix writes, “All you need is a Netflix subscription.” “There are no ads, no hidden costs, and no in-app purchases.” The company also confirms that subscribers will be able to use the same account to play games on multiple mobile devices.
Netflix Gaming Service Is Now Available For Android
Stranger Things: 1984, Stranger Things 3: The Game, Shooting Hoops, Card Blast, and Teeter Up are currently available on the service. Furthermore, for games that don’t normally require an internet connection to play, Netflix Games will allow you to play them while you’re offline as well.
“Whether you’re looking for a casual game you can start from scratch or an immersive experience that allows you to delve deeper into your favourite stories, we want to start building a library of games that offers something for everyone,” the company writes. We’re still in the early stages of developing a great gaming experience, and we’re excited to take you along for the ride.”
Netflix claims later in the announcement that it intends to “cater to every type of player.” “Like our series, films, and specials, we want to design games for any level of play and any type of player,” the company writes.
“And we’ve only just begun.” We’re excited to keep improving our mobile gaming experience and expanding our entertainment offerings in the coming months.”
It’ll be interesting to see how quickly Netflix plans to expand the service by bringing it to new platforms and possibly offering larger-scale experiences.
