How To Defeat All Bosses In Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy As you might expect from an action adventure game, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy includes a number of boss battles to overcome. Given Eidos Montreal’s track record of hit-or-miss bosses in the Deus Ex series, not to mention the underwhelming villains in Marvel’s Avengers, one could be forgiven for being sceptical. Fortunately, there are a lot of bosses, and each one gets enough time to shine. Some of the longer battles are also quite impressive and serve as the game’s main highlights.
Here is a list of all of the game’s boss fights. Spoilers follow, especially for the final boss, so proceed with caution:
- Slakebeast
- Dweller-In-Darkness
- Blood Brothers
- Inquisitor
- Shadow Guardians
- Glah-Ree
- Thanos
- Wendigo
- Fin Fang Foom
- Grand Unifier Raker
- Magus
Don’t be afraid to use your teammates’ various abilities in these encounters. It’s also important to keep an eye on an enemy’s Stagger bar – if it’s depleted, they’ll take more damage. Drax specialises in Stagger damage, so use his abilities on tougher opponents before unleashing some of the more powerful attacks. Some bosses also like to throw smaller enemies at the player, so save your crowd control abilities for those occasions.
Finally, while it may appear gimmicky at first, the Huddle is a highly effective move. It also restores everyone to full health while increasing damage and resetting cooldowns for your team’s abilities. Use it when you’re ready to deal massive damage to a boss or as a last-ditch effort when your team is on the verge of defeat. In any case, try not to waste it on smaller foes if at all possible.
