Where To Find The Bewildering Wood In Voice Of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars For most players, the Bewildering Wood will be the first true challenge in Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars. This path to the game’s next map will necessitate a lot of exploration in the eastern forest.
To fully traverse the Bewildering Wood, players will need a specific item, as well as an understanding of how to defeat the woodland’s tough monsters and a bit of patience. It should be noted that if players come across this area early in their Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars playthrough, they should turn around unless they’ve already visited Thriceton and completed the quest for the doctor who lives there.

Where To Find The Bewildering Wood
Item Required for Finishing The Perplexing Wood
Before attempting to complete all of the tasks in the Bewildering Wood, players should be aware that they will be unable to pass through unless they have a specific musical instrument. This instrument can be found in Thriceton, where the doctor will give the player a flute if they help him.
Where On The Map Is The Perplexing Wood?
The Bewildering Wood can be found on the map to the far eastern border, a little north of the starting city Nexton. To gain access to the Bewildering Wood, players must cross a single-tile wooden bridge terrain card. Before entering, make sure to stock up on healing and curative items.
How To Find The 4 Stelae In The Bewildering Wood
The Story of The Stelae Quest
A Stela is a large stone with carved writing on it. There are several of these in the Bewildering Wood, which the player will discover by reading a signpost to the east of the entrance. The signpost also marks the centre of the Bewildering Wood and is a useful landmark to remember while exploring to avoid getting lost.
The player will be tasked with locating all four Stelae that reside in these woods, as doing so will unlock a final one that can be interacted with to exit the forest and proceed to the next map of the game.
How to Locate the South Stela
This is a good place to begin one’s Stela search because it is the closest to the central signpost within the Bewildering Wood. From the signpost tile, head south to find a curve that leads around a thick wood tile. Continue counterclockwise around the curve until you reach the end on the east.
The Stela located here is the southern one, and interacting with it will provide players with information about the western stone. Return to the signpost after exploring the surrounding area for loot. From there, it is advised to head west in search of the stone alluded to by the South Stela.
How to Locate the West Stela
Go west from the signpost, toward the entrance that led to the Bewildering Wood. The West Stela will be located very close to the entry tile, just northeast of it. The yellow footprints within a circle that appear on the entry tile can be used to identify it.
This Stela will not appear when you first enter the dungeon, but only after you have read the signpost tile and found the South Stela.

Return to the signpost to regain one’s bearings. Following that, players should listen north to find the next Stela. The North Stela is located in the far northwestern corner of the Bewildering Wood. There will be no hints or witty flavour text in this one, just the acknowledgement of a fulfilled criterion.
If players have already discovered the South and West Stelae, this means that only the eastern stone remains to be discovered out of all four Stelae. It is best to save the East Stela for last because it is closest to the exit and the final Stela.
How to Locate the East Stela
This one is fairly close to the signpost in the middle of the dungeon, so go back there before looking for the East Stela. After that, players should be able to find the Stela fairly easily if they travel in a straight line east.
The text “Melody of Fortune” is scribbled on the corner of this large stone, hinting at the next stage of this quest. If this is the final Stela to be found, a passage will open up just north and west of the East Stela. Pass through it and continue north to find the final Stela.
Interacting with the final Stela in order to escape the perplexing wood
This is where the Woodland Flute obtained from the doctor in Thriceton will come into play. When players interact with the final Stela, they will be given the option to play the Woodland Flute. This will cause the events to progress and a guide to appear.
This guide, a Bewildering Wood native, will open the dungeon’s exit, which will be slightly north of the final Stela’s location. Go that way to get out of the foggy, monster-infested forest.
How to Easily Defeat the Monsters in the Perplexing Wood
The stalwart Treants that abound in the Bewildering Wood are easily the most vexing foes to contend with. Because of their high defence stats and ability to heal themselves, they are difficult to fight. However, there are some methods for bringing them down quickly and efficiently.
Mar’s Body Slam Ability
Mar’s Body Slam skill is ideal for dealing with monsters with high defence stats. Normally, the value of a target’s defence is subtracted from the damage of an attack; however, dice roll attacks do not. Mar’s Body Slam is one such attack, which generates a damage value by rolling two six-sided dice.
This value will be applied directly to the target’s HP, and if one is lucky, it can also be a critical hit. This means there is a guaranteed way to deal 2 to 12 damage to a Treant in a single turn. Mar’s Body Slam requires 1 Gem to be used, so plan accordingly in battle.
Melanie’s Flame Abilities
Melanie’s Flame skill, as some may have guessed, is very effective against the Treants and their wooden bodies. In Voice of Cards, type advantages are extremely important: The Isle Dragon Roars, as the increased damage against specific foes will make travel much easier.
This is also a good thing to keep in mind when exploring other areas, so make sure to equip one’s self accordingly.
Voice of Card: The Isle Dragon Roars is available on Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4.
