How To Defeat The Rifthound Monsters In Genshin Impact The new area “Tsurumi Island” in Genshin Impact’s latest update, “Into the Perilous Labyrinth of Fog,” is home to the Rifthound, a creature from the abyss that corrodes everything it touches, even the world’s limits. These terrifying new opponents jump out of the fog, usually in groups of two or three, and there are various beneficial methods to help players deal with them.
Players who want to confront Genshin Impact’s newest enemy type must first travel to Tsurumi Island. Rifthounds are also available in two sizes: regular Rifthounds and Rifthound Whelps, which are smaller and have less health.

Rifthounds attack fast with their claws, delivering elemental damage as well as the corrosion condition effect. This status condition can be deadly because it affects the entire party and deals damage over time. The best approach to counteract the corrosion status effect is to play a character with strong healing abilities, such as Barbara, Qiqi, Bennet, Noelle, or Kokomi. Unfortunately, shields do not protect against rusting.
Rifthounds are originally impervious to their own element, but striking them with it builds up a metre (displayed as a ring over the creature’s head).
Players that are willing to take the risk can use the Rifthound’s element to inflict a tonne of damage swiftly and effectively at the risk of incurring additional damage if the Rifthound lands a combination.
