Iron Ore is a low-tier material that is used in recipes from the beginning until the finish of the game. This Best Place To Farm Iron In New World guide will inform you about two distinct ways you can take to farm iron and stock up on Iron Bars for a variety of crafting.
It’s worth noting that Iron Ore is one of the most sought-after materials in the entire New World. It is used to level up early in the game and towards the end of the game. As a result, it is a hotly disputed resource. If you want to maximize your gains when farming for Iron Ore, you should strive to do so when your server is quiet. Of course, this isn’t always possible, but if you have the choice, mining is the greatest alternative.
Route One is the best place in the world to farm iron.
The first path starts in Monarch’s Bluffs Village, which is located in Monarch’s Bluffs. To the southeast are a series of cliffs; you want to stay on top of the cliffs for the whole of the course. When the route turns red, you’ve reached a location with no Iron Ore spawning, so you can skip ahead if you don’t need any additional resources. Despite being so close to town, I’ve found this to be one of the better sites. The cliffs to the southeast, in particular, are rarely farmed on my server, so they’re a nice spot to begin. The majority of Iron Ore on this path is atop cliffs, so don’t dive down until you’re certain it’s there.
Route Two is the best place in the world to farm iron.

This is an alternative path. It all starts at Cutlass Keys Village on the island of Cutlass Keys. It has more Iron spawning across a shorter distance, but in my experience, at least on my server, it’s a more popular spot with the frequent competition.
- Iron is a very sought after resource, farming at peak times will often be filled with competition
- Farming Iron is best done when the server is at its lowest capacity. Typically very early morning or very late evening
- The two routes shown here both provide tons of iron ore locations
