New World Jewelcrafting Guide For Beginners

New World Jewelcrafting Guide For Beginners.Jewelcrafting is a trade skill that focuses on gems and their transformation into amulets, rings, and necklaces. Here’s how to quickly level it.

In the New World, jewelcrafting is a trade skill. It entails transforming mined and refined gemstones into Trinkets such as rings, necklaces, and amulets. Because of the other companion skills required for Jewelcrafting (mining and stonecutting), this is one of the more difficult trade skills to quickly level.

Due to the limited number of items available to craft at each Jewelcrafting level, there is also a limited selection of levelling techniques. Regardless, here’s a quick guide to making the most of your time. Jewelcrafti

Due to the limited number of items available to craft at each Jewelcrafting level, there is also a limited selection of levelling techniques. Regardless, here’s a quick guide to making the most of your time spent Jewelcrafting and quickly levelling up the skill.

How to Begin a Career in Jewelcrafting

Jewelcrafting requires three extra skills that you’ll need to level:

  • Mining – Getting to at least Silver recommended, as we’ve noticed that Silver a higher chance to drop Gemstones than Iron. You can check out our mining level guide here.
  • Stonecutting – Stonecutting allows you to cut and refine gems. The higher the level, the better gems you can refine. Check out our complete guide to gems here.
  • Harvesting – Gems need to cut alongside elemental motes that gathered via the Harvesting skill, i.e Air Motes, Death Motes, etc.

To make the Trinket Components, you must also be able to smelt Silver and Gold ingots. Hooks, bands, and settings are examples of these. Higher-tier Trinkets will require both Silver and Gold components, whereas lower-tier 2 items will only require Silver.

What Workstations Do You Require?

Leveling up your Jewelcrafting necessitates the following basic requirements:

  • Tier 2 Outfitting Station to craft the Trinket components and Amulets themselves.
  • Tier 2 Stonecutting Table to refine the gems.
  • Tier 3 Smelter to craft Silver Ingots.
  • Harvesting Skill of level 30 to gather motes from Magical Plants. You can also mine Motes from magical rocks, like the Earthcrag, if you are level 50+.

There’s no denying it: jewelcrafting is a labour of love. We’ve used two methods to level up (relatively) quickly.

Leveling from 0 to 50

Make Gemstone Amulets with Flaws. Cut Flawed Gemstones, Silver Chains, and Silver Settings are required for these. Any Cut Flawed Gemstone is a viable option, and each will net you around 200 XP per crafted Amulet. This includes the experience gained from crafting Silver Chains and Silver Settings.

For a total of 11,125 XP, you must craft 51 Flawed Gemstone Amulets.

Leveling Between 50 and 200

Hello and welcome to the grind.

Don’t waste your cheap flaws on useless Flawed Gemstone Amulets. Keep them! Infusion can be used to create higher-tier gemstones.

Tier 3 rings can be crafted once you reach level 50. These necessitate the use of a silver or gold band, a silver or gold setting, and a silver or gold ingot.

Crafting these rings gives you a LOT more XP than crafting regular Flawed Amulets.

Some things to keep in mind:

  • Gem Infusion requires like 3 or 4 flawed gems per higher-tier gem. This means you’re going to need a lot of gems.
  • Eat Mining Luck food while mining Gold and Silver to increase your chances to get more gems (Roasted Potatoes, or any Potato dish variation.)
  • Salvage everything! You sometimes have a chance of getting back a flawed gemstone or gem when you salvage a ring, amulet, or necklace.
