Where to find Steel in New World
Steel a craftable material in the New World that only obtained by smelting the following items:

- Flux

To make Steel in New World, take the ingredients listed above to any settlement’s Tier 3 Smelter and craft it. If you’re having trouble finding the Smelter, look for the furnace icon on the map.
There no way for Steel nodes to discovered on their own in the world. Stone, Iron, Silver, Oil, Gold, Starmetal, Lodestone, Platinum, and Orichalcum ore are the only mineable resources in the New World. The remaining metals refined by combining other refined metals and raw resources.
To make Steel, you’ll need some Charcoal in addition to Iron Ingots. Charcoal a component created at the Smelter by combining two pieces of Green-Wood. Green-Wood obtained by simply chopping down Young Trees or looting bushes. Flux is the final ingredient you’ll need.
Where Can You Find Flux in the New World?
Flux, which most commonly found in the form of Sand Flux, one of the ingredients required to make Steel. You can find Sand Flux by looting chests in any area, and if you’ve been completing faction missions and side missions, you probably already have a stash of Sand Flux.
