New World Best Faction To join:Which Faction is Best.New World Factions are a big part of Amazon Games’ MMO, but on the mystical island of Aeternum, who to join and what benefits they offer isn’t obvious right away. While they all provide roughly the same services, the Factions in New World primarily serve as the game’s entry point for PvP. Factions can compete for control of settlements, forts, and regions of the island in large 50 vs 50 player War games or 20 vs 20 PvPvE Outpost Rush games. Factions also limit who you can play with, so make sure you and all of your friends understand how New World Factions work, including how to join them and what benefits they provide.

What exactly are New World Factions?
There are three New World Factions to choose from, each with the ultimate goal of gaining control of Aeternum. You must join one of the three Factions to participate in New World’s PvP activities, such as roaming around or participating in 50 vs 50 Wars for territory. You’ll also have access to Faction Missions, which, in addition to PvP activities, allow you to raise your Faction’s Rank and increase your Faction’s influence in a specific territory.
You’ll notice that different regions on the New World map are colored differently, indicating which Faction is in control. Here are the three Factions vying for your support:
- The Syndicate’s banner is purple and features a large, bright eye.
- The banner of the Marauder is green, with a golden skull in front of a black hammer.
- The Covenant: A zealous and righteous order dedicated to protecting Aeternum’s life by purging it of evil. The Covenant’s banner is dark red, with a gleaming gauntlet atop a gold-winged shield.
How to Become a Member of a New World Faction
To join a Faction in New World, you must first reach the main settlement in your region and complete a series of introductory quests.
After speaking with the three representatives, you must choose one of the Factions to join. To do so, return to any of the Faction representatives and express your desire to join them.On this screen, you must select which Faction to join. Once you’ve decided, you’ll be assigned an initiation quest for that Faction to complete in order to seal your membership.
A word of caution about factions. Your decision is not final, but you won’t be able to switch Factions very often. Once you’ve joined a Faction for the first time, you can switch to a different one at any time by going to your character’s Bio screen. After changing your Faction the first time, you’ll have to wait 120 days to change it again, which is a very long time. In addition, you will only be able to join New World Companies with players from the same Faction.
The Advantages of New World Factions
Being a member of a Faction has a slew of advantages for you. Access to Companies is one of the first major advantages of being a member of a Faction. These are the New World’s equivalent of clans or guilds. To stay organized and work together, large groups of players from the same Faction can form a Company.
One of the other major Faction advantages is that you will be able to participate in PvP in New World. As a Faction member, you can Flag yourself for PvP in any settlement, allowing players from other Factions to fight you for Faction influence. You can Flag yourself to patrol and defend a region, or you can invade enemy territory to undermine their power.
In terms of the more player-focused aspects of Faction membership, players will be able to complete Faction missions and shop in the Faction store. These missions will help your Faction’s influence, but you will also benefit personally by earning Faction Tokens and increasing your Rank. This will allow you to use your Faction Tokens and other currencies to purchase better gear in your Faction’s shop. It’s worth noting that the quality of all Faction shops is the same.
