Helping the Cloud Retainer is one of the many missions available during this event, along with finding Mystmoon chest locations and many others. To find the Cloud Retainer, first go to the Mt. Aozang waypoint and glide down to the quest marker. It will be next to a large cooking device.
After a quick conversation with the Cloud Retainer, you’ll need to locate the missing Bamboo Shoots for the recipe. To find this ingredient, follow the Aura Trail that appears from the Supreme Cuisine Machine.
Though the aura isn’t particularly evident, the white intestines issuing from the cooking device’s core pot are visible.
- To follow the Aura Trail, begin by jumping off the west-orienting cliff and glide in the upright wind tunnel.
- From this wind tunnel, follow the path northwest surrounding the big rock.
- On the other side of this rock formation, you shall see an aura path leading to a small plateau with several Anemo slimes.
- Quickly dispatch the group of Anemo Slimes to get the Bamboo shoots.

Keep in mind that as soon as you land on this plateau, the slimes will attempt to fly away. Ranged characters (Amber, Sara, Yoimiya) will come in handy to fire the slimes away at this point.
Otherwise, you can use a sword-user (Kazuha, Chongyun) to strike while in mid-air.
Once you’ve shot the Anemo slimes, you’ll instantly receive the Bamboo shoots and be able to return to the Cloud Retainer’s position to hand in the component.
