Destiny 2 the witch queen release date 2021.Destiny 2 the witch queen release date 2021.A release date for Destiny 2’s The Witch Queen has been confirmed after months of teasing, waiting, leaks and rumours. In the Destiny 2 showcase, Bungie announced the release date for the DLC. There was more to it than that, though. For Season 15 and The Witch Queen, as well as the future, we’ve been given a mountain of new content to explore.
When is The Witch Queen coming out for Destiny 2?
On February 22, 2022, The Witch Queen will be released. That’s it. It’s written in black and white. Except if Bungie decides to push that date back, which seems unlikely given how much hype has been built up around Witch Queen.
In conjunction with this announcement, a brand new trailer for The Witch Queen has been released, which gives us some insight into the storey premise of The Witch Queen and finally gives us a look at Savathun in all
The Witch Queen’s overarching theme is “truth.” Sadly, it’s not a rocket
As with the Red War and with the Drifter, this is a continuation of distrust of the Light’s narrative. As a society, we used to believe that the Light was a god- That place was holy. It’s amazing to see Savathun’s mastery of the light despite his status as a Hive god.
This suggests that the Traveler may not be as benign as we once thought.
Whatever the “truth” is, it won’t be known until February of next year. However, that won’t stop us from speculating.

Destiny 2 The Witch Queen and Future DLCs
The Witch Queen’s release date is confirmed, but the two DLCs that follow it are still a mystery to us. To be honest, we know very little about Lightfall or The Final Shape, aside from their names. The Witch Queen’s themes, on the other hand, are likely to reappear in these final DLCs as we move further and further away from the sun.
Other than the storey, we don’t have much information on The Witch Queen. Whoever is interested in Witch Queen’s gear and in-game activities will have to wait just a little bit longer.
